This Cameroon/Croatia game is very visually pleasing cause I think they both have the best kits. Not just the shirt, but the overall color scheme. FIFA actually tried to persuade federations, many successfully, for this world cup to wear kits that are all the same color just for TV viewing purposes. It just looks wrong to see Germany wearing white shorts. I love Cameroon's kit. Only thing I don't like it how the pattern in the front suddenly stops and there's a different pattern on the back. Ghana's kit looks good too. I completely forgot. Spain is getting a new king tomorrow and many Spanish don't like it. This is sure to make them grumpier. I hate to see Germany with white shorts, Spain and Portugal looking the same without their blue and green ones, Italy all in blue and so on... Could work though, however Gerrard is a bit exposed. It's the same team as I picked so I'll have to definetly agree with it. Simply out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on FIFA's sanctioning of Simunic shouting "za dom spremni" and getting banned for eight games? Overly politically correct? Anyway, despite the negative result, I'm really happy that Australia's performance is only reinforcing the continual emergence of football as a mainstream sport in this country. Hopefully in the next decade it will be treated much like football is treated in the US; historically ignored, but due to the continual success of the national team and the development of a proper, competitive league, it has no other option than to be pushed to the forefront of people's minds. It would be fantastic if they could beat Spain, and my gut instincts are honestly telling me they might just squeeze something through.
