Raavi
They should've been the ones against Germany in the finale, period. They are simply a great TEAM, same can't be said for Argentina. But oh well, they'll crush Brazil in the loser finale. Better than nothing. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise

Raavi
sh*tty decisions from a pink glassed Van Gaal, nothing more. If he hadn't put "The miracle of lourdes" aka De Jong in at the start and with it wasted a substitution this would've ended oh so differently. Mais bon this is talking after the fact. Regardless I'll enjoy tomorrow's inevitable crushing of Argentina. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise

Raavi
@Jimbatron Oh, I'm not anti-Argentina, I have nothing against them. Crokey
I'm kinda hoping that Man City (3 players and the sky blue, may as well be) win this one tomorrow and I'd love to see Zabaletta get the winning goal.
Jimbatron
@Jimbatron Oh, I'm not anti-Argentina, I have nothing against them. I just consider the German team to be the vastly superior team and foresee a convincing win. Your language does suggest otherwise. "Crushing Argentina". I sounds like there's more emphasis on you wanting someone to lose rather than to win. Personally I think there has been very little to choose between Argentina, Germany and Netherlands. Variation in score line is more a reflection on how well their opposition have played. Still I expect you are right. There is no way the German players will believe the 7-1 score line was more driven by bad defending than their brilliance, whatever the evidence to the contrary. Their confidence should be sky high in the final. Argentina already look knackered from their extra time against the Dutch. Eutyphro
But Brazil should've had red in the opening minutes. Robben was a player that was behind the defence. If you foul one of those it is red. It is an all round terrible game by the referee. Funny how the first yellow card for a dive in the tournament isn't even a dive. I've seen so much dives this tournament, and none got yellow. Captain Arthur
^ bad decisionTo be honest, this game is full of bad decisions, it's ridiculous. Hmm, it seems like Robben tried diving one more time, it didn't work though.
johnny_zoo
Its not like the ref's incompetence makes a difference, Brazil dont post a threat at all.

And yet the Dutch are leading 3-0. They should really have been in the final, such a shame. And what a classy move to bring on the only Dutch player who hasn't featured yet. Eutyphro
Why are people saying the Dutch should be in the final? They dont deserve to be in the final because they lost. Because they are better than Argentina. The better team doesn't always win. But it doesn't matter much. Germany is best anyway.
Raavi
Bullsh*t, they were the better team and even when they have no f*cks left to give they still win. Also, statically speaking they didn't lose, it was a draw. Penalties don't count as a loss.
