its like the last of us it tries really hard to be a movie but shoots its self in the foot with its Mediocre script. i would still take it over the last of us << god how i hate that game.

Heavy Rain is missing Ellen Page and the lack of choices that effect the story in a big way.

Also it would be a lot better if it was impossible to fail every single quicktime event like Beyond Two Souls.

David Cage is Jesus. He will reap the sinners of the gaming world and show us the light.

I agree, both are interactive movies, but i found Heavy Rain more realistic and also there were more choices unike The Last of Us .

I could't take Heavy Rain seriously after JASON? JASON!

Not to mention the VOs were f*cking terrible to begin with.

''GtaIvFanboy''. 'Nuff said.

OT: I really enjoy Heavy Rain. I must say it's one of the most emotionally engaging games I've ever played. The entire atmosphere is amazing. And the ending I got.... dem feels

Algonquin Assassin

I got Heavy Rain not long after it came out and I thought it was a good game. Wish I still had it though as I didn't get to do all of the endings.

It's just another high budget low-grade game. The story is dumb and inconsistent (the killer plot twist is the dumbest plot twist I have ever seen in anything). Gameplay is basically non-existent. Some characters and graphics are kinda nice. 5.5/10

Why would you compare this to The Last Of Us? If you think Heavy Rain wasn't terrible, you weren't paying attention to the story. The Last Of Us may not be your cup of tea, but at least it had gameplay and a story that made sense.

I hate Quantic Dream because Heavy Rain was originally also scheduled to be released for pc before it became a PS3 exclusive. I loved Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, so I was really looking forward to Heavy Rain when I first heard about it. So disappointing when the pc version was eventually cancelled...

I also hate Naughty Dog and Rockstar San Diego haha

I wish I could get back the $60 I spent on this game. The story is alright, but the gameplay is incredibly boring. The whole game was basically one big cutscene with button presses and quick time events.

I think David Cage was quoted saying that "A game over screen is indication of poor game design."

Really? I don't know about you, but I'd much rather feel accomplished upon having beaten a difficult game instead of cruising through an absurdly easy one. I haven't played Beyond Two Souls but I've heard that it's impossible to die in the game. What's the reward of beating a game that holds your hand THAT much?

I bought it used last year and got bored with it pretty quickly. I returned it for a full refund the next day.

I wasn't a fan of the horrid controls and the pace was too slow. I got up to the point where Ethan was in his house with his son and just gave up after that. It always confused me why he and his wife separated.

Because if you die you won't be able to see any emotion.
