My apologies my good man, that is indeed false. I have no idea why I put that I might've mistook it for some other car D:

I found it through Simeon actually, just start looking right when you get the text message when he wants it. Hope you do find it!

Well, you can't really blame them, since they were government/military owned manufacturers who could only make light trucks and service vehicles for most of their lifespan. Alfa Romeo was the same way.

From the 90s until recent their reliablity has been bad, i say now because we can't really tell about long term reliability just yet. But it takes a lot of stupidity to make crappy cars and then keep making crappy cars for the next 25 years.

I'm big on motorsports, alfa has been taking things they've learned from racing and put them to work in their passenger cars. Volvo has a superior build quality that I can only assume came from their truck building. If hyundai wants to bring it's reputation out of the garbage they'll need to produce some revolutionizing sh*t, and on their own, not by buying out engineers. The fact that they are even growing by the help of other car manufacturers designers is disgusting. Way to mooch to make a buck.

Oh and an interesting read if anyone wants to:

I'm also "big on motorsports" and I love older Hyundai cars. I liked the Tiburon. I also have a special spot for mundane cars, so the 80s Hyundai Excel is one of my favorite cars. However, I don't like current gen. Hyundai vehicles cause they look sh*tty. But honestly, most current cars out there have no identity and are just a ugly mess.

Anyway I can see that you have some issues with them and that's fine. I mean, no company is perfect. Toyota has been in news for a while due to their sudden acceleration cases but that doesn't mean I'm going to hate their past cars. Kia is meh to me, although the Forte Koup was a car I considered to purchase when it came out.

I feel as if though they've never really had anything to give but tin cans. I agree with you on current gen cars, most are rubbish but certainly not all. Old toyotas are known for their solid upgrade base but I don't think hyundai is tailoring to motorsports at all. Any manufacturer can make a sports car (ex. genesis). But not everyone can make a good sports car that will also be capable of being built 10 years after it's prime. I don't think the motor swap game will ever exist in hyundais and therefore a chunk of aftermarket gone. Nothing that's proven to be reliable as well as performance reliable.

I was kinda holding out that Hyundai would make some kind of deal with HKS for aftermarket parts, but that seems to be all for naught.

And Hyundai was very late to the scene for sports cars, the Tiburon didn't come out until 1996, right around rising Yen vs Dollar exchanges caused most Asian car manufacturers to pull their sports cars out of the export markets. (Like the Skylines, Supra, Lancers in some markets, and MR2's.)

They really didn't have a base for sports cars, but they did enter quite a few WRC events throughout the 90's and 00's.

I think every single car company out there have been through some sort of struggle whether big or small, but either way as long as they can still make an impact with the industry, that's all that really matters at the end.

I actually like the Tiburon's design at first but never got around to learning about its performance and stuff.

At least where I live, the Tiburon goes for a higher price (especially the V6 equipped models) used than its nearest competitors. (The 7th Gen Toyota Celica, the 8th Gen Mercury Cougar, the 2nd and 3rd Gen Mitsubishi Eclipse, and late in its life; the 8th Gen Civic Si.)

That's some pretty lofty competition for the Tiburon to compete against in a market saturated with sport compacts.

Yeah that is quite a lot of competitors... and better ones I might add as well. I prefer the older design to the Tiburon over the current ones.
