Is it just me or Free Aim = Twitchy?

Is it just me or is the free aiming on GTA 5 a little twitchy? (At least on the PS3 controllers)

I still play GTA 4 on PC and I can run and gun like a boss with that tiny little white dot always staying exactly where I point it.
Now, I'm not talking about recoil, thats understandable. Whats not okay is that I noticed I always have to nudge the right stick a little to get the perfect shot. This may only be an individual basis, but am I the only one who thinks free aim on GTA 5 wasn't as fluid as it was in GTA 4?

Let me try and explain this a little better if you don't get it. Say for instance I wanted to hold somebody at gunpoint. In the past, I could move the stick or mouse and it would land perfectly on their forehead, whereas in GTA 5, I can never get it in the right spot, making me waste two awkward seconds of my gameplay time to perfectly position the reticule.

Still don't get it? Try getting all GOLD in the pistol challenges. You'll notice.

tl;dr; Am I the only one who thinks free aim on GTA 5 is twitchy and wasn't as fluid as it was in GTA 4?
I tried adjusting the sensitivity at different levels (1/3, 1/2, 100%, etc) but that makes little to no difference.

I dont think its twitchy at all.

Btw the pistol challenges are desinged for the ap pistol, which is fully automatic, thats how you get the points.

Free aim in GTA V is a million times better than the sluggish free aim in GTA IV. But I do agree the shooting range challenge is difficult.

Works fine for me - actually it works even better than GTA IV.
You say you play IV on pc, could it be that you're just more used to mouse than to controllers? and btw, could you "run-and-gun" in IV? I just remember Niko doing the "walk-and-gun".

I don't play GTA on the PC, so I can't comment on that. But when it comes to the PS3, GTA IV's free-aim was absolutely f*cking sh*te. I mean absolute total sh*te.

GTA V's free-aim is a MASSIVE improvement over GTA IV's.

What's so bad about GTA IV's free aim? I'm playing through GTA IV (on 360) using free aim and I don't find anything wrong with it. I have it on PS3 also.

If you have no problem with it, more power to you. But I absolutely despise it.

Fair enough, but that doesn't really answer the question. GTA V's is definitely tighter and more responsive, but I don't agree GTA IV's is sh*t.

I've tried to give it a chance, but it just never felt right. I suppose since it was their first HD generation outing, I should cut them some slack. But I just can't use the free-aim in it, which is a shame. Auto-aim is so boring. Thank god I don't have to use it on V.

Its definitely a Step down from IV, At least in IV, i could actually use free aim.

Actually in GTA IV there was noticeable recoil and you could crouch to improve your accuracy. In GTA V there's virtually no recoil whatsoever even with low shooting stats.

What I don't like at all is the zoom in when doing drive-by's. Shooting from a vehicle was perfect in IV.

Y'know, you may be right, but comparing GTA IV PC aiming to GTA V CONSOLE aiming is outright wrong.
