He is better than that. And just because he killed meth Johnny that way doesn't mean that he is only capable of doing that. Trevor is clearly stronger, he is merciless (except with certain people), he can get really angry and block any kind of pain. Luis V Franklin = Franklin, they both are minorities trying to escape the hood that are loyal to a fault, but @ least Franklin wasn't an asshole like Luis was. Franklin's past doesn't matter (inb4 I'm a racist) because he would have only been in junior high or high school at the time. I do agree to an extent that there's a lack of backstory for the characters but that's the price Rockstar has to pay if they want 3 protagonists. With one protagonist like Niko, Rockstar had a lot more time to sit there and think about what his story would be and they didn't have to spread out there ideas across 3 different characters. But nevertheless, I found the stories of Michael and Trevor (I really don't care about gang/ghetto things) to be great. So, overall, I like the depth of Niko's story, but I like how Michael's and Trevor's story are intertwined. I do not have a personal favourite. EDIT: D'oh! I just realized I completely brushed over the other GTA 4 era protagonists, being Jonny and Luis. But anyway, their stories weren't as intertwined as GTA 5s story. There was around 5 missions where you see 2 or more of the characters, but they rarely seemed to work together. If you want to compare GTA 5's story of 3 characters and GTA 4's story of 3 characters, I would say GTA 5 wins hands down, no question at all. But hey, that is just my opinion. Winner = IV, Well said, if It was Niko V Trevor, Niko, he would simply squeeze the living sh*t out of him with Ease. I liked Trevor, but Niko is more psychopathic. Yes Niko isn't a huge psycho and Trevor did a lot more psycho sh*t, but Trevor is just mentally unstable and can easy be broken down and angered. He usually gets angry if some harmless dudes ask if he's Canadian and Niko can only be angered if they f*ck with is friends and family. He was just so interesting. He was the first protagonist to actually have an actual family. He has children who you actually get to speak to and know, he has a wife, hell he even has a beautiful house. A retired bankrobber who actually made it and now looking for something new in life. There was so much potential in this, and like said above there was only one time I actually saw his character really shine and show his real emotions (instead of his 'fake want to be hollywood emotions', which is a shame...) The 3 character switch kind of ruined the experience for people that really wanted a STORY though. Because yeah it was awesome, you get to play as 3 people. But that just meant there was less time actually put into the characters. I wanted to know so much more about Trevor. He was literally a maniac, I wanted to know so much about his past, but there was never time because the game moves so fast that you have to focus on all 3 characters. Don't get me wrong it's not a complain that game was awesome (a 8.9 / 10 from me), but I wish that Rockstar would have extended the game longer from the standard 69 missions. This way it feels like you're actually playing through 3 different stories, instead of 1 big rushed one. Anyway.
