G_Masta_Phunk
So... I dont have a smart phone. I am old school, or broke, whatever you prefer... I dont want to pay 100 bucks a month for online everywhere when there are 1 billion wi fi hot spots around the USA... Anyways... I was saving up to get a PS Vita for work as I am getting bored of my PSP.... (PSP lasted me way long as I only play it at work) But I am getting through LCS and VCS for the 5th time or so and so... was hoping GTA would come out for Vita... a San andreas game... Well to my surprise... its comming out for a phone? ok cool... so I guess I dont need a ps vita Ill get a f*cken phone. But I dont need it to do phone things,... just game things... So here is the question I ask... being completely ignorant of the phone world.... what device should I get for this sh*t? I am excited because I will also pick up III and Vice city.... so I will be able to revist the older games too and sort of have a 3d collection along side my psp collection.... but the main thing.. is I want san andreas at my fingertips... Specs ~Ill pay 200-300 or so for something that can do this.... ~I want a good sized screen, I dont care about mobility as it will be mostly for work (Tablet is a bit too big tho) ~ battery life is inconsequential as I will be close to a plug in source.... tho more than an hour would be good lol. ~ Buttons are mandatory... f*ck touch screen.. so it needs to be compatible with one of those plug en play hand held toys.... they range from 50-100 bucks i see... ~ IT needs to be able to run it, however I dont want something that can also do all the other absurd these things can do... like I dont need an HD camera or a camera at all, I dont need bluetooth or whatever... Overall I am dissapointed at the decision to go mobile... I was looking forward to getting a vita but the games for vita currently suck or are really good but linear and short... I need something to tool around with at work, not too story based but also story based if i want to hop into a mission AKA GTA like games.... Even though I am dissapointed, I must make the switch... so please.. all you smart phone people out there help me out? IS there an offline version... like Ipod touch? Something more driven to game friendly.... larger screen I dunno... help me out friends... Thanks~ Peace.

sivispacem
So you want San Andreas on a mobile device, but you don't want that mobile device to have a touchscreen, as all Android phones or tablets do? The only thing I can think of is buying a smaller tablet like a Nexus 7 (Wifi only) with a PS3 controller (can be done with the help of third party apps), or that weird Asus gaming tablet but that's about twice your budget. 36Chambers
Yeah, you might just have to get a touch screen device. You'll get used to it over time. And if your going to use a game pad, why does it matter if the phone is touch screen? Anyway, I'd recommend you get a Galaxy Note 2. It's around your price point (at least in my area) and it has a big screen. Edited December 2, 2013 by 36Chambers

G_Masta_Phunk
Im cool with a touch screen... it just needs to be able to have a controller that can attach to it! most of them do as blue tooth is enabled with most controllers.... My girlfriend has an Andoid X 2 that she no longer uses... is that good? Think a 4th gen ipod touch? or should I go 5th gen?
