Finally met the sentinel freak

I read about him yesterday, then met him today coming out of a survival up in Sandy Shores (near Trevor's home). He drove past me, so I chased him down, shot him and got the Sentinel.

 

Tried to sell it, offerred me 7k.

Then a Simeon message popped up, wanting it. Resprayef and took it down the docks. Some dick in a plane tried to flatten me. Died. But damaged it, so I only got 9.5k.

 

Fair enough.

I think I saw him today, during a race! I was doing a little RP increasing by doing a GTA race on my own and knocking over a store repeatedly and I swear a saw a black car go across the end of the block, I did think WTF? as I didn't know about him until I read this thread.

 

EDIT - Forgot to say I'd set the traffic to OFF hence my surprise at seeing another car.

You'll notice it, it's like a noob in an chrome adder trying to run you over, he actually stops though if you miss the shot and gets out to fire back, but he's pretty lame at that.

 

Had it once with a Landstalker, the thing was at warp speed into a post next to me and flew off.

I thought he was a myth... untill today.. I wonder if he unlocks when you reach a certain level? I don't grind away like some folks and have a relatively mediocre level, but it wasn't until I leveled up after doing a parachute jump (tge crane one in los santos) when I first met him, I ticked over to level 34 and rejoined freeroam, I was just stashing my cash in my bank on the mobile and suddenly I heard smash and I came tumbling off my motorcycle and saw a sentinel driving off.. I clambered back onto the bagger and engaged in pursuit of my would be assassin, he was driving fast and mean, cutting up cars and running over pedestrians. By accident a car in front of him changed lanes to turn left and the two became entangled in a waltz of spinning metal and I turned and braked hard narrowly missing them but slamming into another car which had halted sideways on in the other lane.. I managed to stay on my bike and whilst taking a second to recover I noticed the sentinel had reversed away from the wreckage of the innocent car whose horn was endlessly sounding signifying the fate of the driver, I was now in the sights on the sentinel and boy he was mean as he accelerated dead into me knocking me off my bike and over the hood of the car I was sandwiched between.. my battered and bloodied body managed one last burst of adrenaline, I got to my feet and whipped out my shotgun, suddenly there was a pop of gunfire and the remaining glass in the SUV shattered, I realised he was shooting at me! the occupant spluttered her final breath as she served as my unfortunate human shield before her leg twitched on the gas and the car disappeared into the screaming pedestrians on the sidewalk.. with not a second to spare I pumped the sentinel with buckshot and prayed, moments later his corpse flopped out the drivers door..

is this a taste of things to come???

I had a driver following this pattern of behaviour in a F620.

 

My guess is Rockstar introduced this so the "rare" cars spawn at least sometimes. There were a lot of people trying to find Sentinels, Tailgaters and F620s.

I finally got to see this guy! I had just joined a session with a 7k bounty on me and as i was getting into my Banshee when the bastard took my door off trying to ram me. Chased after him and shot his car so he stoped and got out. He was a shirtless redneck with a shotgun.. heres some pics.

 

 

 

The reason why this guy keeps coming after players i think is actually a glitch. I think these guys are actually the assassins we were supposed to be able to call on other players. Cut content leaking through to the game through glitch of some kind.

Wow I'm lucky tonight! I just ran into again on a session switch! This time i had my Entity and he was a black guy in a knitted pattern sweater with a shotgun

 

 

 

 

I didn't have the 7k bounty on me as i had survived it.

met this guy yesterday

ran me over as I got in my car, took my door as well

so I went after him, shot him and now I have a nice matte black sentinel in my garage

I met him twice today within one hour, pretty lucky I guess? Both times he was alone, the first time he crashed into traffic and fled, when I shot him he became scared and never returned fire. I took his car.

 

Second time he took off my door as I was getting in and I killed him again.

I was in sandy shores some where just walking around and punching people. i get too this small road he runs me over. im like okay what the hell respawn and he finds me and tries too kill me again haha was great.

I got this guy starting at a fairly low level. It's interesting how random it is. A couple of times he has run me over from behind, including taking off my car door once, as someone mentioned above.

 

Last night, I had just respawned in the middle of the street after selling a car at LSC, and just as soon as I banked the money from the sale, I turned around 180 degrees, to look for some traffic that I could jack for transportation. I saw a car coming toward me from half a block away and I stood there to stop it, but then I realized too late that the car was coming at me faster than normal street driver AI, and I realized it was the Sentinel guy.

 

I knew in that split second that I could not get out of the way in time, but at the last instant, he swerved to miss me and kept speeding down the street at the same high rate. Interesting.

i finally got him today to every other time i would see him i never had a car until today so i chased him and took his car took ages to kill him to its like he came back to life when i killed him in his car

I had no idea this was a thing, I was jacking a Zion last night and a black Sentinel came out of nowhere and plowed me at full speed. I was pulling the driver from the car, took me, the driver, and the door of the car right the F out. Bastard hauled ass away from the scene, by the time I got back up and started chasing him, he was long gone.
