Tank Causing Bad Sport

My destroyed tank that is still on the road is causing me to pay someone else's insurance when they ram into the tank. This seems ridiculously unfair to me as:
1. The tank isn't moving.
2. It's destroyed.

 

Is this a bug or something? I've paid over 30k in insurance so far and there's no way to stop it as people keep spawning near it, not allowing it to disappear.

Doubt they can help you with that, PV tanks aren't supported by R* so if they behave oddly that's just because they weren't intended to be in the game.

 

I'm assuming it was a PV tank since it's the only have the wreckage still associated with your character. I don't think pegasus tanks behave like that, correct me if I'm wrong.

You should leave the session. A friend of mine punished a griefer a few days back by getting his tank up with his cargobob, and kept smashing his Personal cars with his destroyed tank. Making the ex tank owner a badsport.

I can comfirm it also goes for pegasus tanks. Last one to have used the tank is F'ed.

I wasn't being an "asshat", I was merely trying to kill someone who had glitched himself between a bridge and the road above it, not allowing anyone/thing to hit him. Tank eventually got blown up by some of his sticky bombs and the wreckage remained for a good 20 minutes. It was a Pegasus tank.
