What happens if you blow up a players personal vehicle in self defense?

 

Let say, they are firing at your from inside their car or using their car as a shield and you throw a grenade / sticky bomb etc...

 

What happens then?

You need to get better at shooting. Its not difficult to kill people without blowing up their vehicles buddy. If someone is shooting from inside thier car then they are a VERY easy target. No where to hide.

It's f*ckin GTA, you shouldn't get bad sport for blowing up someones vehicle. You shouldn't have to pay insurance either.

I must be lucky because I blow up multiple personal vehicles on a daily basis, every time I'm online and I've never been in this bad sport arena. It even tells me I'm a good sport and gives me $2000 and I continue playing as I normally would any other competitive, online game.

You need to get better at shooting. Its not difficult to kill people without blowing up their vehicles buddy. If someone is shooting from inside thier car then they are a VERY easy target. No where to hide.

 

Yeah, I know that, as my shooting level is at it's highest and I do drive by's to the enemies...

 

Just asking, if the game can differentiate the actions you do from blowing up PV's.

I forgot to mention, as soon as I saw the "You are bad sport" message, I shutted down my PS3 by holding the power button, to make it not save on cloud. I came back in the game, I was in normal session, then I exploded a player vehicule and got bad sport again, with the timer 00d00h00m

My bad sport time went to 0 and started going up. Its at an additional 11 hours now, but I honestly couldn't care less. People in bad sport lobbies are actually more of a challenge to kill. A lot of them try going in their tanks, but they are easy to snipe out. I've grown to enjoy bad sport lobbies now.

same here, however i care immensely as i have real life friends that play now and it is the only reason i came back to this game after hitting 120 and getting my glitched vehicles etc, i have tried basically everything i can think of to try and halt it but no joy, if i have to serve this extra time i will be PISSED, nothing more frustrating than watching a timer actually go up after waiting 8 days for it to go away, think im going to get them to join me now and we can wait this sh*t out together, sucks though because i thought id be able to host some fun game mode lobbys for everyone on here today and now i can't.

As I have said before, people who talk down on anybody who receives a bad sport cap are the mad ones.. because apparently they get very pissed over stuff like losing their car every once in a while.. Even though they do not have to pay for it and get it back within less than a minute. Or people who are too useless to take revenge and therefore can only cry if they get killed by anybody.

Welcome to Grand Theft Auto, which has always(until GTA Online came out) been about open world mayhem and destruction ever since its first release.

I personally understand why the BS lobbies exist, but isn't it enough that we have to pay for the insurance, and you get a brand new vehicle for free?

They clearly wanted to help us avoid the crap we had to deal with in GTA4, but all the changes they made to the core game were enough IMO.

 

I think a permanent BS lobby is overkill, and frankly undeserved. If R* doesn't want us to destroy vehicles, then they should've taken friendly fire out of Free Mode entirely. But instead, they give us weapons designed specifically for taking out vehicles, but do not allow vehicles in most competitive modes anyways.

passive mode, beacon saying to all free roam participants, "please harass me"

singleplayer, "go play by yourself if you don't want to kill or be killed"

invite only sessions, not everybody has the time or patience to develop friendships with people who are like minded online

 

They are valid options, but in my opinion not entirely satisfactory. The draconian logic of freeroam = deathmatch is merely one perspective. To categorize all non violent players as failures is myopic in my opinion.

Same thing for me, 2nd time ive ever been in BS, timer went to zero, started going up, now im over a day and counting but i have the opposite view that you have on the BS lobby, it is terrible. Yes, freeroam may be a bit more exciting but tbh i never liked gta 4 online and thats basically what the BS lobby is now. I can NEVER find a race, i can find missions with ppl once in a while but not enough to make it worth it for me to keep playing online. Ill play other games for a bit and see if they fix this sometime soon, if not ill just sell gta and move on, getting one of the new consoles soon anyway.
