Time remaining as a bad sport 00d00h00m

Hello! Yesterday I went on a rampage and exploded a lot of players with a buzzard and I ended up bad sport. As soon as I got the dunce hat, the timer said: Time remaining as a bad sport 00d00h00m

 

Today I logged in to see if it was fixed and it still says I'm bad sport for 00d00h00m. I can't remove the dunce cap, i'm in bad sport lobbies and in the player list it says i'm bad sport. I just don't understand WHEN exactly will I return to normal lobbies? Am I bs forever?

Pro tip: 00 bad sport stats means bad sport is permanent.

Hopefully it's permanent. You say you went on a rampage and deliberately exploded a few PV's so you deserve to only play with the people like you.

Try to increase your bad sport time by destroying personal vehicles, maybe it will increase, then begin to count down.

Nah I'm serious, I feel for this guy lol. Being stuck in BS and then getting trolled about it is a pretty rough online day xD

 

OP : there are no permanent BS "bans"/sentences. It only doubles up with each iteration. So rockstar should be able to see when you were sentenced/ for how long and compare that data with the one on your profile. Might take days though. Never dealt with their customer service so I don't have a clue about how fast they operate.

 

There are no cheater pool (as of yet) so I fail to see why Rockstar would prioritize people blowing up PVs over hacking. Cut that poor guy a break, he just wanted to pwn noobs with explosives and we've all been there lol.

 

PS : Maybe quitting right after BS warnings/ sentence is a bad move. If Rockstar fixes it for you (or if it fixes itself out), then don't do it anymore. Do your time and take it like a man lol.

Brian B has mentioned it in an answer of his that the permanent bad sport is layered in the format of 00's. They've done it this way because they couldn't replace the timer with the word "permanent".

How many times have you been sentenced to Bad Sport in the past?

No offense my fellow GTA comrade, but I'm highly skeptical :p

 

Until I see it in clear black and white in the patch notes, it's just nonsense. and even if that Brian B is a supposedly official on the Rockstar Support Forums (that's I gathered since a few people seem to refer to him) these people do make mistakes.

Even the community coordinators aren't privy to the developers future steps (well, not until the evening before patch release that is). Also it would be incredibly stupid of Rockstar to focus on genuine bad sports rather than hacking or patching their damn glitches/bugs and various performance issues.

 

Personally I don't really care either way, after 4 sentences to the pen I've learnt the art of self-control. I regularly check my player status and soon as I see "dodgy Player", this is when I stop.

Usually doing a few missions and waiting a couple of days resets it back to clean player. But yeah, if for some maddening reason you are correct then this would be the first time I lose a little faith in Rockstar. If only for having their priorities all over the place.

If it is your first bad sport on your account, I'd get in touch with Rockstar straight away (it'll take a few days for a reply and you can update your submission if it starts behaving normally again).
