Is that confirmed? I heard people say the suppressor still makes you pop up on the radar. Either way I never play DM hence not using suppressors.

None of them. The negative effects on the weapon's stats cannot justify the befits of having a suppressor. The suppressor is not worth it on any weapon. I've bought them for my weapons just to complete my arsenal, but I never actually use them.

It significantly reduces the range of which people will detect you on the radar, while using an unsilenced weapon will make you appear for just about everyone (notice how the minimap goes completely red when you fire, I believe that's your weapon's detection range).

I could be wrong, but it seems like using silenced weapons during free roam will give you a few more shots before the police will be alerted to your shenanigan's.

Sniper rifle for sh*ts, advanced rifle just to have one assault rifle with a suppressor, and my AP Pistol because I accidentally bought a suppressor once when drunk and decided that it actually works decently, as it's a little less obvious in the first second that I'm shooting somebody from my car, and that second does count.

For me, it's good to have a few guns in each type with a suppressor (except pistols and shotguns) I put suppressors on my SMG, Carbine Rifle, Sniper Rifle and I think my Micro SMG has one but I don't really use it.

Exactly, in missions, the supressor doesn't work since you do less damage and decreases the gun range. In free roam it's somewhat useless, everyone has an Entity XF or a tank and the map don't make it easier for you to hide.

However, if you could be able to remove or attach a suppressor from the weapon wheel then it could be useful.

If you think you could use a suppressor then you won't need to go to Ammunation to attach it.

Yes. I found Suppresor decreases damage and range. Plus, Online mode cops are more ninja than single player. They'll know wherever you shoot it. They'll look for you. They'll find you. And they'll kill you.

I don't know much about what exactly suppressors do, but to me, there aren't any noticeable difference. Coming from CoD and being a flanking type of player, I always equip a suppressor regardless. I guess it's just something I got used to.

I put them on everything I can. Suppressors keep you off the radar in Deathmatches regardless of how close someone is to you, and that makes them invaluable. As for any other time, they don't lower stats enough to really matter. Yes, they slightly lower auto-aim distance, but not enough to really matter. And yes, they slightly lower damage, but a headshot makes anyone drop in one bullet, so again, not enough to really matter. But I suppose it's all a matter of opinion. The stats of any given weapon has never made me choose it. I go by feel, so a slight decrease in stats in a weapon I like isn't going to make me switch to a better stat weapon I hate.

I suppressed a pistol, sniper, and one of my rifles. Mostly for aesthetics and to have something to feel sneaky even though it really make no difference. Does anyone know if your silencers are more effective at not alerting cops if your stealth is capped?

I use the suppressed pistol to pop the heli pilot or cab driver when I'm roaming around and my mech don't show and I don't want cops..

auto shotty is still crazy beastly w suppressor, and makes a neat squeek when fired.
