So I'll cut to the chase this time : This is GTAO, PvP is non-consensual, stop expecting the game to change its design for you, the majority doesn't feel the same way as you so start getting better at the game or carry on whining.

Every time I join a game I get shot for no reason at all by EVERYONE. My cars even get blown up for no bloody reason. This costs me money and makes the game horrible to play.

 

Anyone out there that keeps the killing to bountyhunting/missions?

Because I could really use a friend in this world of ***holes.

I only play with people I know, or that know people I know. That way, we can lay out the ground rules.

 

No spawn killing. No tanks. No dicking about.

 

When you're on with your crew and working missions, or just in freeplay, it's so much better than being on with a bunch of wound up strangers with an unnecessary vendettas.

it's one thing to play with an immature 20-30 year old E-banger, or some skinny highschooler that feels too safe behind his controller, but i'm sick of playing with the squeeker squad.

 

i always get weirded the f*ck out, when i hear someone who hasn't even hit puberty yet, droppin f-bombs and swearing up and down that he stuck his underaged penis in your mom.

I encountered one last night. He was driving around LS making engine sounds down his mic XD

 

He also claimed to have a tank even though he's only a level 9...

I love dickheads like you online, i try to only kill players with a bounty and get annoyed when other players target me simply because LOL GTA GUNS KILL so when somebody does i make it my personal mission in life to ensure they rage quit. The other day i was online and taking a casual drive down by Vespucci beach when two guys in the same crew decided i was a healthy target and sticky bombed my car before speeding off in some chrome Adder probably to find somebody else to kill, unknown to them i'm f*cking sh*thot with the sniper rifle so as soon as i respawned i targeted the fastly disapearing Adder and put my first bullet straight through the drivers head followed quickly was the passengers execution. Quickly i rang Lester and had him remove my map marker and made my way to a vantage point, i wait for my marker to re apear and unleash another round of sniper shots dispatching them both as quickly as they spawned. Long story short i'd killed both guys for a good 15 minutes without them even hitting me with a shot, then as one of my crew members joined the game i noticed the original sticky bomb killer left followed by his mate. Pussies.

it doesn't, by the way. it just makes you sound like a person who take it too seriously that their 'toon' gets killed in a videogame.

you probably complain about 'griefers', but have just openly admitted to spawn-killing others.

Oh the irony! That's one one of the whinyest post I've seen in this thread. It's not a case of getting better at the game. Some of us have no interest in mindlessly killing each other for hours at a time. Online will always have issues. Even when everything is patched up and working like a charm... The problem is the amount people online. We got MILLIONS here and half, if not more are children aged 12,13,14 yrs old and even younger because dumb ass parents got them a copy.

 

But anyway i hear ya man.

 

RDR (Red Dead Redemption)had more glitches and holes in it than any other game i may have ever played!!! but it was enjoyable to play because the kiddies at the time weren't interested and free roaming was fun Sure there were a few young ones but nothing like GTAO.

 

But anyway... i hear ya man. It's ruined.

I just play SP where i can go anywhere i want and do whatever i want.

 

GTAO won't come good until these kids get bored or move onto the net gens. Give till after x-mas and all should be well. (maybe)

I don't ever shoot randoms... this is not a skill based, shoot 'em-up game. It's simply not fun to go 1 vs 1 in an auto-aim lobby vs. someone else... Who can hit L2 faster isn't a game I'm interested in at all... Free Aim isn't that much better since it's then it's just a Push to camp cover pop fest lag filled circle-jerk... no.. this game is NOT good for player vs. player (outside a race). That's why my Deathmatch (created content) is designed around dogfighting.

 

Unless I'm looking to play with friends and invite randoms (for racing, etc), I typically go to invite-only. The only thing worse than the game is the players of this game... The game could have been much better but it simply wasn't designed to be civil in any way. If they designed it so the servers could be privately run (like Battlefield) then you might be able to find "decent servers" but this game isn't designed to find ANY specific servers... it's just random...

Like I said, cry away. Flipping it around by using the lame duck "whining about whining argument" is not going to get your ideas for the game anywhere.

I am fine with the current status quo of the game since it's apparent that developers wanted the game to function as it does now. Besides, I learnt a long time ago that expecting the developers to do what the community wants is never going to happen. In the words of Ford, "if I listened to please the customers, I would have gotten them a faster horse". Devs will listen, but they always will prioritize their vision of the game first.

 

I never spawn kill, or trap players that aren't interested in pvp the second I see they aren't responding appropriately. I've been playing all sorts of PvP games, from strategy to FPS to the typical MMO format. I will always value a good/fun fight over easy kills or ganking.

 

I have humored other people's opinions and even suggested alternatives in great details to the current system by putting in place PVP/PVE servers so that everyone may play the way they want to without the risk of ruining each other's fun.

 

Yes, I don't see anything wrong with killing randomly because I'm a pvper. I like instigating fights all over the map and various situations because I find it fun. I generally save the PvE stuff for when my friends are online. I PK solo all the time so trust me when I say this, I genuinely don't care about picking fighting I am likely to lose. I will go after crews so I get outnumbered, and even if I end up losing overall I still got fun out of it.

 

Griefers : Love mass killing while having the advantage, no sportmanship nwhatsoever.

 

PvPers : Love killing and getting killed on even terms, will respect his opponent most of the time.

 

I know I came across quite narky in that post, but it's genuinely because I get tired of typing post like I am now trying to reconciliate both point of views and trying to show that not every PvPer is a bad apple. So yes, sometimes saying "stop crying, game is fine, get over it" seems like the easier option. Just tired of getting painted with the same brush all the time.

 

If you've ever played on other PvP games like in MMOs, then you will know that PvPers still engage in PvP activities. It's just that it isn't the main focus of our gameplay experience.

 

Yes, I will pass a few hours deathmatching in freeroam, then pass the next hour cruising, customizing cars and my avatar, going after stunt jumps, etc... most of us aren't braindead, just like most Pvers aren't either.

 

It's just that recent crop of 12yo players that arrived at the time of the "get tank at any level" glitch that are magnifying the divide in between playstyles. Add the hackers on top of that and you have yourself a perfect griefing sh*tstorm.

Yeppers.

 

I'm old and my eyesight and reaction time aren't what they were 40+ years ago when I was 12 and we played PvP with BB guns.

 

When I do go into a free roam server I either make sure I'm with my crew (my son, cousin (also old guy like me) and some of my son's friends) or I'm prepared to exit to a crew only server once I meet up with the idiot de jour. Simple.

 

I'm old but not so old that I don't realize it's the interwebs and if there's one thing the net has done for us over the last 20+/- years it's demonstrate that we as a race (the human one) are for the most part assholes and in a world with no consequences (GTAO) the assholery is going to come out in spades.

There are plenty that just kill you, there are also those that don't, I've met both, they're usually confined to a little warzone, in my experience this warzone tends to be in Hollywood, where they just shoot eachother and come back.

Me I don't generally go after people unprovoked, I did do the unprovoked killings of two players, because they were coming out of a spot that I was expecting the guy that I was trying to exact revenge on was coming out of, they seemed to be friends with him so didn't feel guilty, whatever. If someone kills me unprovoked that's the game, I don't really get pissed unless they dissapear when I try to get retribution, that's some punk ass sh*t. But today me and this one guy especially was going at it, he killed me quite early on, so after killing this other guy that threw grenades at me when I was leaving ammu nation I went after this guy, with a helicopter, was shooting rockets pretty close and ended up crashing into him and another unprovoked killer that he was with, still laughed, other people gathered there and it became a warzone, I was trying to get out but he kept sniping me, so we had that back and forth with others in the mix, left to my car, he followed me, I killed him again, I sent him texts calling for a truce, tried to help him out with something he was trying to do, now he;s on my friendslist, it was pretty eventful.

Bro, most people playing GTA doesn't have the sense of "oh hey look there are other people so let's not disturb him because he got things to do and killing him for no reason will annoy him and it's very not considerate".

 

And look, in my home-country, some people think the ones who played GTA have low intellectualism. So when I tell them I play the game, they laugh at me.

I snipe everything and anyone that comes near me. Players, pedestrians,tanks, tires, more players, pedestrians, players, take a little break, back to players. Sometimes I like sniping into a middle of a pedestrian crowd then pick one or 2 runners, and see how far they get. Running targets are the best unless you run into a highly modded one that's running 100mph. Hopefully the hot fix corrected all of that. Unless your a friend your free game. Anyway, you know you can report them, right? Just do it. Report them or leave the session. It's impossible not to have a session without mindless killing because this is Saint's Row IV.

 

EDIT: Get a speedy car too. And stock up on everything. Look, there's no point telling people to play by a specific set of rules. Uncharted 3 will always have stat-padders. Call of Duty and Battlefield will always have trickshot-freaks. NFS and GT will always have a dirty racer. TLOU will always have nail-stick-bat guy. Every game has a prick, and rightfully so.

 

Someone has to be the villain, right?

Don't worry. I don't just kill people. Not anymore. It's boring. You can't make people lose money due to hackers. You can't make people broke and relentlessly insult them for being broke. You can't force them to blow their only PV up and never have a PV for a while because they're all loaded.

Probably because from afar it's hard to distinguish someone defending someone and a bunch of people killing each other. No context.

 

That's why I prefer the much more obvious running away method. Not only do people spot you being a wuss on the map, it lets people know the whoever killed me could be a worth opponent. I'm like 100% wuss.
