Anyone playing this game that's not a brainless homocidal maniac?

Every time I join a game I get shot for no reason at all by EVERYONE. My cars even get blown up for no bloody reason. This costs me money and makes the game horrible to play.

 

Anyone out there that keeps the killing to bountyhunting/missions?
Because I could really use a friend in this world of ***holes.

i get killed from time to time , i just jack a vehicle and go back to my safe house when people are killing me alot . either that or i go to a different online session. as for passive mode that is bs , you can still be hit and killed by cars and blown up so its useless

I'm with you. I don't ever kill anyone unprovoked, but if someone kills me out of the blue he will have a bad time. Only yesterday, I did a mission with someone who constantly messed it up, we went back to free roam, I ran towards my bike (clearly indicating I didn't want to harm him) and was shot in the back. As soon as I spawned he was shot down mid-air while jumping off a bridge with a sniper rifle. Was a lot of fun, especially because it was some rage kiddo.

Yes, this is GTA, but from my point of view GTA isn't about runing everyone's game just for fun. If you want to kill people, there are a lot of players that don't mind. If I just walk by you, clearly not interested in you, why would you shoot me?

OT: The is the problem with online/multiplayer gaming - it's a competitive beast. TBH if you don't want to get killed by other players, don't play online. That's just how it works. It's NOTHING to do with skill, or being an asshat, or whatever. It's simply that is what online gaming is

Set up an "Invite only" mode and play with just your mates, if you don't want dickheads killing you, or stick to single player (i know, i know, sorry, but that's the alternative).

 

I dislike online gaming for that same reason; every game mode is deathmatch. Team deathmatch, LTS, even co-op modes end up being deathmatchs when douches shoot you for the hell of it.

Races have "wrong way drivers" ruining it.

 

TBH, multiplayer gaming is ruined by other people! haha

 

No way round it, other than not play online. Public sessions mean you WILL get shot at, or killed. Either shoot back, wage war, run away or leave. Don't expect to take your pride and joy to the mod shop without being blown up by some hard-guy (or that thinks he's hard because he's glitched a tank).

 

I'd happily jump in a session and just mess about with other people, but the truth is that people only want to shoot you, or assume you're about to do the same, so they get their revenge in first.

 

Oh, and ignore pricks like this guy above, who think because they're good at something, it makes them kings or better than people.

You could be the best gamer in the world, and go to work in an office, or the worst gamer in the world, and go to work as a child-brain surgeon. I know which one would be the better person. No one's impressed that you can move a joystick and shoot someone in a game. No one gives a sh*t lol

It's rough out there in GTA land, you pretty much have to stay away from anybody who isn't blue. If anybody comes into my kill zone, which is my LOS, I will shoot first and ask questions later. I use to try and leave players alone at first, but every single time I turn my back to do my thing, some [email protected] has to shoot me in the back like a punk ass coward. How the hell you shoot someone in the back anyhow when no shooting is going on?

 

Anyhow, I will usually start my session by setting an ambush, then do missions and whatnot once the punks go away. It's a lot of fun to jump into a firefight sometimes, there are areas on the map that are always a combat zone, but sometimes you got sh*t to do and don't want to get into a fire fight that you can't escape w/out loading a new session.

Generally I don't kill anyone unless they start killing me multiple times for no reason, but only for defense purposes. If you want to hang out, or anything, my ID is SifuChyakuGO, I play the game without having those types of problems, or prevent them sometimes.

People are pricks online and always have been. It is more annoying in GTA V because you have to pay healthcare bills and insurance for your car. Passive mode is a waste of money because you can still be run over and it does not work when you're in a car. Honestly, I've just grew tired of online. I thought, and still do think, troling and being trolled was fun in IV but in V it just suuuuccccks.

 

You're not being an asshole for not defending yourself, don't listen to that imbecilic peanut that I've just quoted because he is just blabbering rubbish out without even thinking. The truth is, online is full of bratty tweens and punk teens. I'm not bashing all teens as I am one myself. There seems to be a lot of careless and immature dweebs that happen to be teens roaming around Online.

 

I've stopped playing GTA Online, not only because of these trolls, but it irritates me. So flawed, limited, repetitive, boring, and it creates unneeded stress. It feels like rubbish that was made in 5 months and not polished. If this is what caused the delay then I will be damned because it is not worth it.

Buy an apartment / garage and store your personal car in there.

 

Go Online and select "Invite Only" and host your own Jobs / Missions etc...

 

Every time I go online, I just take some random NPC's car, nothing special, just needs me to get to where I need to.

 

And leave my personal ones in the garage.

to be fair it can be quite annoying when youre trying to do your own thing and keep yourself to yourself, like trying to earn money or do up you car or work through the missions when 12 year old brats are killing you for no reason, best thing to do is leave that server and go onto another one.

 

when i go on and my mates arent online, i just do my own thing, when my mates come on we team up and work through the missions, we arent interested in killing each other, you get nothing done that way.

Online will always have issues. Even when everything is patched up and working like a charm... The problem is the amount people online. We got MILLIONS here and half, if not more are children aged 12,13,14 yrs old and even younger because dumb ass parents got them a copy.

 

But anyway i hear ya man.

 

RDR (Red Dead Redemption)had more glitches and holes in it than any other game i may have ever played!!! but it was enjoyable to play because the kiddies at the time weren't interested and free roaming was fun Sure there were a few young ones but nothing like GTAO.

 

But anyway... i hear ya man. It's ruined.

I just play SP where i can go anywhere i want and do whatever i want.

 

GTAO won't come good until these kids get bored or move onto the net gens. Give till after x-mas and all should be well. (maybe)

Join a crew, i'm in IGN which is just a public crew with tons of members and even still in a large open crew like that i've never been killed by a member.

 

So joining an invite only crew or possibly even an open crew, then joining a crew lobby, would pretty much solve your problem.

Free aim is better and funner less people who shoot at first sight. Rockstar made it worse by making lowering bad sport penalty from blowing up cars my car gets blown up atleast 10 times everyday now
