To be fair, my seven year old would probably run rings around most of you lol

 

Joking aside, yes it's a dilemma. I treat my two lads who are just coming up for 11 years old and 8 years old this month the way my parents treated my brother and I as kids. We were allowed to watch adult movies (not that kind) when we were young. Hell, one of my happiest memories was my dad bringing home a pirated copy of "Aliens" on VHS in 1986, when I was just twelve. It was the best thing I ever saw, and remains so to this day.

 

I think as long as you interact with your kids, explain stuff to them and look out or signs that it may be disturbing to them, you can let them watch a lot of content that isn't rated for them.

 

I include GTAO in that, the content is pretty cartoon like, and the stuff they hear on the chat is just what they hear at the park or at school.

 

The only thing that horrifies me about my youngest on GTAO is the taste of a seven year old when it comes to customising cars. The colours and styles he chooses, which look like his Hot Wheels toys, are just horrendous lol

Best kid I heard on the mic during a race lobby was one frantic kid and his mum, and it went something like this

 

Kid: "What?........No!!!.........I don't want anything........I said I don't want anything........Mom, I don't want any dinner......I said...what??? I said I don't want it......Aaarrrgh.....I'll be there in a minute.......I said I'll be there in a minute mom!!!"

 

<silence>

 

Some other guy: "You'd better go get your dinner dude"

 

<whole lobby just collapses in laughter>

Haha true but that's where I first came across some of the worst kids that I've ever met in my life. Besides, and I know you're going to kill me for this, I've never played Quake nor Starcraft
