Free-roam sucks with tanks

Tank = psychological warfare weapon.

 

The enemy player feels compelled to defeat you for e-peen glory, but alas you are in a tank hence his numerous demises. For some strange reason, the tank just stuns the players' brains and they have no choice but to run towards you in the open or try to shoot you using terrible cover.

 

Mostly inexperience I guess, a lot of people are still reporting never seeing a tank online yet but nonetheless, 'tis a formidable weapon really.

hah I'm the opposite, I think it sucks for tank players. I never use a tank.

 

I was racing through the city to head north on the map, hit a jump, landed on the ground and drove in to a moving tank.

 

He had to pay my insurance excess and likely got a bad sport point, but he did nothing to me, it wasn't his fault.

Thought that was a bit stink. I'd rather cars just didn't immediately explode on contact with a tank - if he drove over me or shot me then sure - but if someone is in a tank you can essentially just keep ramming them whenever they move until they end up in bad sport :S

 

Bit OTT.

 

And yeah tanks are easily avoided, plus you can switch sessions.

get a car, plant five stickies on it, ram it into the tank and blow it up, or with luck he'll blow you up when you're next to him, also causing damage to himself, do it again and tank is gone.

Better yet, do it on a bike, harder target for them, much faster/maneuverable for you. While off of radar.

your options are to go to passive mode.

leave the session.

out play the twanker.

keep getting killed over and over. eventually they might give you a pity kill so you can leave the session with a false sense of accomplishment.

That actually is a great suggestion, It won't be easy. You need to hit him from behind or you auto destroy yourself.

The only response required for babies that cry about tanks in a GTA game. GTA will always have tanks, get used to it.

It can be fun depending on your mood...if it gets irritating just jump session. I just crashed and exploded my personal vehicle into some goon on a rampage in a tank so he would get a bad sport, after the third personal vehicle I was chasing him LOL

Unless you are prepared to die again and again you should not fight a tank at street level. Here is some advice

 

- passive mode

- get out of view

- figure out an escape route where you won't be seen

- go off radar

- request personal vehicle through select menu

- GTFO, get a helicopter

- get a vantage point with a long range view of tank

- snipe the f*ck out of him

 

It will take practice to figure out where to aim but once you get it down you will never get tired of sniping c*nts out of tanks.

I actually enjoy when a tank is in the lobby and is aggressive. It brings spice to the game. I try and take it down and I die way more than he does. But I expect this and it's fun to try. Stop taking the game so serious. Real life ain't fair so why should GTA be fair? Just enjoy it.

they ruined the game.. Don't tell me about heavy sniper it won't help. One person today killed about 50 times in a session with 14 players, everyone tried to kill him. I didn't intentionally go to him because i didn't actually know that he had a tank. Once he exploded my vehicle he started to spawn kill me and whoever comes near to him gets killed. It's like hackers using god mode.

I actually can afford one but i don't want it.

 

This gta online supposed to be a realistic game but no, it's like call of duty.

Yeah, I'm starting to think the same thing. I don't take games seriously but i find annoying getting killed by tanks. 1 time is ok but spawnkill is just stupid.
