play gran turisimo if you want a pure race experience(or any dedicated racer for that matter).

Where am I basing this? I'm not sure about the context of this question, would you rephrase it? Where is a location?

I'm basing my answer from opinion gathered by the lack of content available, it is strictly opinion only, but I doubt they will be releasing anything decent within the next month or so, probably something similar to 'Beach Bum DLC' which was laughable, but yeah.

 

I enjoy GTA:O but it is very repetitive and when you've got nobody to play with, it becomes even worse. Bad Sport is a terrible lobby to be in, you won't be making friends or enjoying gameplay there, this is something that needed to be added.

I believe holding down a button respawns you at the last completed check point, might have messed up their strategy.

One more testimonial to the satisfying and fun experience of GTA0 racing.

I usually play Solo mode and race solo just to grind RPs. The only race in which I actually competed with several other online players, a dickhead caused a crash of all the cars right off the starting line and only one guy got out ahead of the crash. Then as I got out and started after the lead guy, a dickhead in a Z-type (same crash-causing dickhead or different? I don't know) rammed me several times during the race.

 

I traded second place with the rammer a few times, because even though he would ram me after I passed him, he couldn't drive worth a sh*t and would spin out or hit something. Finally he rammed me and I went off a bridge, basically out of the race, and he took off to presumably ram the lead guy. I DNF'd.

 

So yes, GTA0 races are fun times. And by "fun times," I mean "a piece of jack sh*t."

After serving four sentences in BS lobbies, I've come to the conclusion that leaving missions penalises you more than blowing up a few PVs. Two times I got sent to BS just after leaving a job, which is ridiculous to be honest.

 

I never ragequit missions or races, but sometimes I will leave the game for a couple of reasons : IRL stuff, or lag. There is no way I am going to complete the grand tour (or any mid/long races) if I get massive lag right off the start.

 

I had to complete the grand tour race with soul crushing lag because I was a dodgy player trying to gain Rockstar's favors again by completing missions. Either I left because I was sick of the lag and got sent to BS, or I spent the next 10 minutes playing window tearing. Obviously I went with the latter. 15 minutes of hell isn't worth 30 days in the pen.

 

I am sick of lag in certain races, it's just bullsh*t. I seriously hope Rockstar addresses that issue as it ruins too many good races half the bloody time. And making money off the short ones is grueling.

Well you must have done other things. I leave missions all the time when trolls are f*cking the objective up and I've never been in the bad sport.

I gotta call shenanigans on this one. I've quit more than two missions/races in a night due to my wife asking me to do stuff around the house for her, and I've never been in bad sport lobbies.

 

There is more to the story than OP is telling us.
