not much, the first time i attempted it, i got the money then turned round to run out and the cashier shot me dead, so lesson learnt, after ive got the money, i shoot him dead :-)

You can get a couple thousand per robbery..

 

I bought my first two car garage with the money i got from robberies.

 

Best to have a mask though it reduces the odds of you getting caught for some reason

I always kill the cashier though.. Taking the money from the cash register myself is always faster.

It's faster yes but you get more if you commit the robbery while the clerk is alive also get XP and such for the intimidation factor

3 stars and chopper if ya plug him..

You make significantly more money for consecutive hits. Wear a mask when you rob the store and take a random car to the store, leaving your personal vehicle around the corner (out of sight of the cops). After you rob the store, lose the line of sight of the cops and get in your PV, then take your mask off. You should lose two stars. If you survive the cops, your next hit will have a bigger reward. I've gotten a streak going to earn $7-$9k per store, but once you get 5 stars per robbery, it becomes pretty time consuming to get away.

I like to have a plane waiting near by when I hit the 5 stars I hop in the heli and run for the airport and jump in a plane and I have actually out ran 5 stars before it takes a while but it's possible

just in case anyone didn't know. shoot the bottles behind the cashier to intimidate more and get the cash faster.

also after the robbery, when out of site of the cops either remove your mask or put a mask on to drop a wanted star

$7-9k? Sounds fake. I used to rob several stores in a row and the money never went above 2k for any lick. The only thing that increased was the number of stars.

 

I don't rob anymore(ty lsc glitch) but my method was to use a maverick as a getaway vehicle. At 2 and 3 stars, it's easy to lose the heat. Also I robbed the stores in the desert area, there's 4 of them close to each other. Just hit one after another, and each will be open by time you get to it again.

yea the way he said it seemed like the amount was that much for each individual robbery.

This might be something that's been patched to pay out less. I did this in the first couple of weeks that the game had been out (mid October), but I assure you I walked away from a store with $9k. I wish I had proof for you. But as you mentioned, there are much better ways to accumulate wealth now...

Definitely patched the payouts for robberies. The tattoo set for robbing stores tho is pretty sweet. Full set unlocks when you hit 20 different stores.

Yeah the trophy / award and tattoo are pretty cool when you have robbed all 20. And as AiraCobra said wear a mask. Just dont buy one of the full head monkey masks, just get one of the hockey face masks. After you remove the full face mask all your hair comes off with it and you walk around bald until you go to a hair shop and buy some more hair.
