Garage Animation Not Showing.

First post. Never had any questions, so never thought about joining up.

 

Anyone else seen the issue where the Garage Animation does not show when you drive out? It works for me, but a friend of mine it doesn't. It just puts him right in the street.

i posted a tpoic about this and i have no idea why its caused as your say i hear the door open but i randomly just spawn on the street

 

tho it is good if someones spawn camping so thats the up side

Yea. He was going to try and dup a car and noticed he was not able to do it because of the animation not showing. I was just curious if anyone else had heard of it. Seems its random.

I was about to post exactly the same thing. It started happening to me the other day and is still doing it!?

Going into the garage shows the animation/cut-seen, but every time I leave my garage (be it in a vehicle or on foot), it jumps me immediately down the road.

 

Dunno where your friend is situated, but I'm in Richards Majestic apartments.

Happens to me too, been doing this to me for at least a week. I was staying at Richards Majestic and moved to Weazel thinking is was my apartment but nope still not working for me

Me too, I get insta ported outside. I have a friend that lives in the same building, and he still gets the garage door animation.

yeah same, my car spawns on the street most times, idk why but i like it better, so if someone is trying to kill me outside my home, i just drive away from the street were i spawn.

I read somewhere that they removed the garage leaving animation in the last update to try to avoid you getting killed by other people during the animation. I don't know if it's true, but that could explain a lot.

lol thats really handy when you run into your house with a guy chaseing you and he's set up shop out side your garage only to find you spawn on the road and go on your merry way XD i get messages everytime i do it its so f*cking funny and what more anoying is there the ones who started to shoot at me ????

yea im at Alta st and get it every time, everytime, both before and after 1.06. whether the room is full, empty, solo session, etc, i get the animation. when i lived at Weazle towers i got all the time too

 

but when i was trying to dupe a mesa of someone earlier today, who also lives at Alta st like me, he said almost never get it, so the car couldnt be be duped.

 

is rockstar taking the animation away to stop car duping? not likely since why would they remove it for some, but not others??? would be great to figure out a way to force the animation.....maybe ill ask in the ps3 card duping thread...then ask again...and again because that thread moves quick...

I might have a little bit of insight on this...

 

My character is in the 10 car apartment on Alta and today, I was cruising around and stealing bicycles for my garage. I stole a Whippet, a Endurex and a Tri-Cycles Race bike. So, I had three bicycles in the garage.

 

I wanted to get a BMX bike and figured I'd just pay the $800, so I go to order it. Thinking that you can only have three bicycles at a time, I prepared to get the message to replace one of the ones that I had stolen. Sure enough, the message popped up, but there were four choices: The Whippet, the Endurex, the Tri-Cycles Race and one that said "Empty." I thought, "Cool... I'll just put the BMX in the empty slot."

 

Well, I got the notification that the bike would be delivered shortly. However, after getting the text saying the BMX was delivered, I go back to the garage and still see only the three bicycles that I had stolen. That's also when the cutscene of leaving the garage stopped happening for me.

 

I've tried various ways of fixing this, but so far no luck. I've drowned one of the bicycles, hoping that the BMX would show up in it's place on the racks, but it doesn't. I've called the mechanic to see if he'd deliver a bicycle and of course, he doesn't.

 

So, basically, I have no access to the BMX that I had purchased and no way of even getting rid of it, so that the cutscene of leaving the garage will start again. My guess is, something with filling that 4th slot for bicycles is what causes the cutscene to not happen.

 

Another interesting note: Anytime I take one of the three bicycles out that I can see, when I return, I get the "Garage Full" message, prompting me to replace a vehicle. I press X for OK, and the list of four again comes up, with the spot where I had taken the bike out from now saying "Empty." If I fill the empty slot, it replaces the bike on the wall. If I try to replace the 4th spot (where my BMX is) the bike disappears entirely.

 

So again, in short, I'm thinking that filling that 4th spot on the bikes list is what is causing this to happen. I even bought another BMX to replace the one that I had and, during the time between buing it and the time the new BMX was delivered, the cutscene of exiting the garage happened as it normally does.

 

So, to get the cutscene to happen again, I'm pretty sure that that 4th bicycle slot needs to be empty and simply replacing it with another bicycle doesn't seem to do the trick.

 

Unfortunately, since there doesn't seem to be a way to access that slot, I'm not sure on how to go about emptying it.

 

But, if those who are having issues with the cutscesnes currently have or have had bicycles in their garage at any time, that 4th slot might have been filled somehow. My wife's character has the exact same apartment and she gets the garage exiting cutscene, where I don't get it.

To be honnest. You could be right..

but this is what i did.

I lived in the weazel and the cinematic was gone after the patch , i tried to buy the same appartement but another floor and still doesnt have the cinematic.

So i bought the 400k app and now my cinematic is back!

Bought again the weazel because i dont like the spot where everyone ends up killling each other.

but still in the weazel i cant have cinematic , my friend has also weazel but he can drive out of garage with cinematic with 4 bikes in his list.

So guessing its pretty random and needs to be solved.

I've got this too. It only started to happen after the patch for me.

 

Today, I decided I'd move apartment to see if it would fix it. I moved from Weazel Plaza to Richards Majestic. No garage cutscene. I then moved to Tinsel Towers, and the cinematic came back. I think if I move back to Weazel the cutscene still won't come up, so for now I'm staying at Tinsel Towers.

Update from me: The garage animation all of a sudden starting coming back to me at Weazel Plaza

Let us know if its back for any of you guys.
