Today me and my mate went to the Pacific Standard Bank and had a bit of a 'Role Play'. I shot open the doors and ran to the vault only to find I couldnt get the gate open, So we had a shootout with the cops and got our escape vehicle and so on...

Anyone else doing this kind of thing?

I am getting the sinking feeling that heists will be an overhyped failfest. I am hoping the delay is to spice them up and really deliver a quality experience and not simpky rolling out the next batch of nerfs :(.

 

OT: I am going straight militant with my Barracks, Buzzard and Offroad Dubsta. OFC Rhino and Annihilator on stand-by should things get messy.

I was trying to organise a thing like this earlier today... instead I got involved with a Role played prison break.

 

No I am not "preparing" for heists.... I think heists will be slightly more complex than the missions... yet more restricted... SOME OF THE MISSIONS ARE HEIST LIKE, YOU JUST NEED TO PUT TIME INTO THEM and you can make them more fun.

 

For 1 the Single player heists were incredibly scripted... linear... there was no creativity.... you scouted what Lester wanted to scout (none of your own scouting) you found the breech points that Lester wants to use, then you go through the scripted cut scenes and kill the bad guys until you make a completely unbelievable escape through.

 

Even when Heists come out I will still be Role Playing events.... Who needs a cash reward... its fun that matters.... and Role played events can go anywhere... no scripted nonsense.

I am now doing 100 pushups instead of 50 pushups every day to prepare my mind mentally for the heists. I am also drinking synthetic plant juice and experimenting with LSD on a daily basis. I also run an animal farm that consists mostly of wild geese.

 

Finally, I get access to an internet connection by using a stolen university students internet access and currently play on the universities computers. I use a capture card and download recording software so I can play on their monitors, and have to sit with my PS3 in a bag to ensure no one sees what I am doing. Sometimes it overheats and dies, when this happens I usually just snatch and grab a new one from the store down the road.

 

I hope to make enough views on youtube from my experience to pay rent and other expenses. If anyone could request gameplay footage I would be happy to provide it.

Some people are really over-hyping heists .... evidence suggests in all likelihood they'll only be a handful of team vs team missions - Cops n Crooks style which was cut from the original release.

 

Now if they added that and THE REST of the CnC stuff this were working on (territory battles, CTF, heists, gang respect, snitches, drug dealing, police roleplaying and arrest mechanisms, etc) .. .well that would be worth hyping ... but alas I'm guessing a 6-month expansion pack/episode for that

The only thing I've done is fully mod the Exemplar. Not sure if it's the best car for it but it is quick in the races and pretty good handling. I've walked round the bank and done the glitch to get in the vault just to get a feel for where everything is but not really done anything else.

No, because when you're doing a heist, the police will probably respond much harder than when you're just free roaming.
