Once upon a time,

 

you could grind races for experience and cash, missions payed out more of both aswell.

So people repeated them over and over again,

until Rockstar decided to lower the payment for races and missions.

 

Now you have to chill out while leveling.

 

I'm Level 40 and the only thing i really miss, is some range Anti-Tank Weapon (RPG / Buzzard), but i can enjoy the game with that level. So you should not worry.

63... I've been playing mostly free roam lately so I haven't leveled up in a while. It's just boring playing the same missions over and over for rp

132 atm. I hate the Criminal Records race although I've done it a few times. Did Down the Drain more because I actually found that race to be fun with the cardboard and how people race it. Most of mine came from Survival. That's been my favorite game mode. People are always playing it so it only takes seconds to get it started. No griefing because you can't hurt each other. And for me it's the most fun out of all the different game types.

 

My play time is 9D, 7h, and 34 mins but racing only accounts for 7hrs and 22 mins of that. So don't think everyone at a high level got there solely by doing repetitive races.
