G The Generous
(dull story, unlikeable characters, ton of repetitive quest, world lack of immersion and depth How so? Far Cry 3 had a great atmosphere and a huge map. The game itself was so unpredictable, try playing it on Warrior and you'll see. The Story was fantastic and action-packed and the quests were quite unique compared to other games, you yourself had to find out where the animal is lurking in the shadows. Also I heard that liberating all the outposts makes the game boring so that might have been your problem. Oh and as for unlikeable characters? Vaas Montenengro was one of the best villains in gaming history. Far Cry 3 was no doubt the pinnacle of FPS gaming and no doubt one of the best games this generation. as I said, that's just my opinion. but up to now, I still can't get why the game is just too goddamn overrated. I mean... yeah, it's good, but best game of the year, of generation? I mean seriously, there are more better FPS games out there. truth be told, I find Far Cry 2 to be a better and enjoyable game (FC1 even though linear, but was probably the best of the series) thought I might want to be more specific though. first of all is how dull the story was, it's technically not bad but it was really lazy writting and lack of meaning, depth, it just doesn't interest enough. Vaas is like a psycho-wannabe type of character you can see in typical movies. just like COD, which they usualy made character acted as they are badass and cool, the character just doesn't feel natural and realistic as they should. Jason was a hateable character for me, as he is a whiny teenage who suddenly become high trained killer when given a gun, with horrible voice acting and bad personally, how can I enjoy the game when the character I played is the one I hate? then the gameplay, it's Ubisoft nowaday trend: put you in a big world with ton of repeative quests to make people think the game is huge. they tried to make their games somewhat like Skyrim and they failed to do so (this is also what happened to Assassin's Creed 3), too many damn side quests and not much of main quest to enjoy. and the gameplay was too easy, and yes, I played on Warrior and the game even more easy when I started to upgrade sh*t, the AI is just horrible, as if they were designed to be butchered than trying to kill the player. also, God know how many time I heard the enemies keep saying the same thing again and again, it was annoying as hell. first I thought it was me just being retard for not liking this game. but when I ask some of my friends who played the game, they also agreed that the game is just that overrated. well, that's that I guess Edited November 30, 2013 by badboy_zay Bonnano and paul

QuietLoneWolf
NARC on Xbox. Cheap use of drugs to attract easily impressed kids with no experience of drugs. Terrible controls, terrible everything really. Super Mario 64. Controversial choice perhaps but it just didn't have that Mario magic I experienced on the SNES growing up. The Sims 2 PS2. The first two Sims games on console were at least average to ok for those of us that grew up without a PC but The Sims 2 was incredibly poor, it felt like the devs put no effort into it what-so-ever. Andreas
Hmm, I would say DRIV3R on Gameboy Advanced and Secret Service. DRIV3R wasn't a bad game overall, but it was extremely painful to play and to watch on Gameboy. The 3D was all distorted to a degree where it hurts your eyes if you play it for hours. I didn't play Secret Service much, and that for a good reason. The game was simple due the brain-dead AI on one hand, and it got really boring fast on the other hand. There was really nothing that made me go "This is getting interesting, I want to see what happens next". I kept playing the game nonetheless for an hour or more, but I just lost my interest. So, yeah, I just stopped playing it. Edited November 30, 2013 by Andreas. d0mm2k8
Pokemon Fire Red. Nothing amazing. Kanto is not appealing as it is in HGSS. The storyline was not much different as compared to Pokemon Red (except the islands). And what is this? No change in soundtracks or trainer profile? Atleast HGSS was a better remake as it had Battle Frontier, new soundtracks, new trainers, etc. Jesus, they could have used some more ideas in the game. It was lacking so mush. This is not a reason to buy a remake version. The game did its job; updated the graphics/sound/battlemechanics and made Pokemon unobtainable in Ruby and Sapphire now obtainable via trade. Sure it didn't go above and beyond like HG/SS did but it did have the pretty cool post-game islands with all the Gen 2 'mons. No where near the sh*t-level of Diamond and Pearl (thank f*ck for Platinum).
WinterEdit
I don't remember any real bad games I have played to be honest... either I played them at too early age to remember them or they were too bad to be remembered. Anyway, I see one game in the shelf which I remember to be mediocre at best... for my age back then, anyway. Top Gun Combat Zones. I played that game probably at the age of 4 or something. I've never even touched it afterwards. It's supposed to be a military jet "simulator". Anyway, at the age of 4 the controls were kind of hard. It could be funnier/easier if I played it now... looking at a random video I found about the game, it seems it is better than I remembered. Hmh. Edit: Now I'm seeing the IGN/Metacritic scores for the game for the first time... IGN: 5,9/10 Metacritic: 3/10 It might be a bad game after all, lol. It's fun time-killer though... if I remember correctly. Edited December 1, 2013 by WinterEdit

Daz
In recent history I would have to say Driver: San Francisco. Sorry to any fans but the city is just soooo f*cking boring there is like nothing to look at except f*cking buildings. I played like an hour and then went back to GTA 5 because the characters, the city and even the story was just plain boring. I agree there, Though I enjoyed the driving somewhat but the map was totally awful, it felt totally dead, (I get it is meant to be in the mind of someone in a coma and it should be a bit robotic or dream like, but there wasn't even a day and night cycle for god sake, it is entirely unacceptable to not even have that in games at this point in time, and the same year Saint's Row: The Third came out which also didn't include one, f*cking shambles. Such a shame as I was very excited because it was the original developers from the original games which I had loved to death and still regard as the best driving physics in a game ever made, they were attempted to "go back to basics" and to be true to the original which they definitely failed at, just to gain some more of the casual gamer audience who might think it was too hard. I mean sh*t that didn't stop me with the first game, I could barely complete the training area when Driver came out. It didn't make me hate it or not want to play it, I just would play free ride for hours. One thing about Far Cry 3 I must stress, the gameplay and environment were completely awesome, and though there could have been a few tweaks here and there, and the mechanics were a little loose at times it offered an amazing sandbox. HOWEVER, the story was probably one of the worst stories in a game I have ever played, every cliché and awful trope was included, and the story made no sense or logic for what was being forced of you, it was beyond sh*t in that respect. Though Blood Dragon made up for that a million times over and is probably one of the best games I have ever played. As for my own list I would have to say Homefront, it was marketed as some sort of Last of Us styled game, with real struggles and interesting gameplay, but it ended up just being a COD clone, and a terrible one at that. The multiplayer was even worse, it had all the things that should have made it good, such as large maps and vehicles and large player counts but it just failed on it's arse, I couldn't believe my eyes when me and my friend first jumped into a game and we just got spawn killed 10 times in a row by f*cking tanks and UAV airstrikes and all kinds of bullsh*t. Not to mention glitched achievements, having to waste time with organized get-to-gethers with 15 other people to get a hosting achievement, which never popped, and losing my level 49 rank just before getting the level 50 achievement. Utter pisspoor game. In the older days I remember being a little disappointed by Blast Corps, It was a fun game on the surface but it was very basic in what it required of you, and after having games like Mario 64 and Goldeneye it was heartbreaking for a kid to waste their £50 on a game that let them down like that. But by no means a really bad game in any way, I just wanted so much more from it. Edited December 2, 2013 by Daz Bonnano

The Pizza Delivery Guy
May just be the anger blinding me here, but for certain the game Rebel Raiders Operation Nighthawk is one of the worst games I've ever played. It's a game about war and planes. I thought it would tide me over until the next Ace Combat game back in 07' or so. It turned out to be one of the most lackluster things I've ever played. The game is about war and planes. It goes down from there. It takes place in the distant future which is just an excuse to add annoying weapon gimmicks and create boring fake airplanes based on real ones. Gameplay: You unlock different planes along the way, but there's only about 15 different planes to unlock and most are exclusive to certain missions. That really f*cks your feeling of choice up. The first thing you'll probably notice will be either that you can only fly at 3 different speeds: unbelievably slow, really slow, and slow. There's no middle ground. Those 3 speeds are linked to 2 buttons on the controller (faster and slower than normal). You'll see that first, or you will see that if you crash into the ground you don't die immediately. In fact, you have a shield on the plane that links to your health. Once that reaches zero you're dead. The planes must be made of plastic or something. Along with that is the fact that you can fire 8 rockets at once. Yep, 8 whole rockets. And that still won't kill your enemies. It usually takes 30 hits to take out ONE common enemy, and that's not even against stronger enemies. Also you have unlimited ammo forever because that makes sense. Graphics: It looks like Sonic Heroes on PS2. If you know what that looks like, you'll understand. If you don't, then think of a brand new car at a showroom. Now think of it 3 times shinier. That's this game. The characters barely move and the voice acting sounds like it's done by children. Just plain awful. Also, it's SO DIFFICULT. Even on the easiest setting, the third mission in is damn near impossible unless you have a very specific guerrilla strategy. You're in a weak B-2 bomber knockoff trying to destroy turrets so your team can infiltrate an enemy position. I counted once and I remember it only takes 7 shots to be destroyed by one of these guns. And since it took me so long to finish this mission back in the day I don't assume it was exactly easy to get shots on the guns. I only made it a couple of missions further into the game before I took the game out of the console and threw it around in frustration. I didn't scream though, because it was night. In conclusion, f*ck this game. I got rid of the game years ago. I wish i still had it to show off the horrors of that game. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but if you aren't there are no emotions in a David Cage game, ok there are but there is no reason for them we are never told what happens or why we should feel for the character, Jodie for example, because of the way the game is played you are supposed to feel bad/happy/remorse/whatever for her but you just can't because there is no real explanation. Or Jason, we were supposed to be sad after he died but we are never introduced to him he doens't have a story, sh*t, we don't even know f*cking Shaun yet people fell for it all (sorry for the rant-ish post but the fact that this man is actuall allowed to make games just pisses me off) Edited December 4, 2013 by wolfy boy
