I suck at GTA V driving because I....

Got so used to the GTA IV driving. It took me about 3 years to COMPELETLY perfect GTA IVs driving... I was a master at drifting, J turns, driving in reverse with busy traffic, and racing. But now I try to do it in V and I just get owned in all races, people crashing me from behind, try to drift when I make a turn but the car makes turn in such a weird way that I crash... Its like trying to teach a dog to not sit on command when he has being trained for years to sit...

I find GTA V's driving easier, but I can understand why people would be used to IV's more. I'm good on both, I can drift and do J-turns. Only advice I can give you is to practice more, I hope you master it eventually.

I perfected my GTA IV driving about 3 months before GTA V's release. And because of that, I'm a God at driving in GTA V.

I'll try and get these reply types out of the way for you.

"V's driving sucks big phallus. It's for twelve year olds. IV's driving was for real men, and if you disagree you're probably twelve years old yourself and you suck cock for fun."

"IV's driving was straight up sh*t. You couldn't go five feet without spinning out like a ballerina on coke. Anyone who prefers it is fundametally retarded and needs a helmet, A-SAP."

LMFAO!

Well it's true. GTA V's driving is for the 12 year old SA fanboys who couldn't adapt to IV's far superior driving.

Black & White

I'm with you on that one, man. The V car physics totally suck. As I've said earlier, the car physics resemble the feature of a PS2 game. It took me a while to get relaxed and master the IV driving physics. The V physics don't even make sense. Why would Rockstar change the physics so drastically and horrible?

I think they tried too hard to please everyone. IV really needed only minor tweaks and it would be perfect. V's car physics is similar to what we had in SA, it worked well then, but now it doesn't really fit to this game. Everything around in V looks so natural, so realistic and they put this fake, crappy physics in it.

But V's driving is more fun in a way! :D

But the second part is correct lol

GTA IV's driving. Took you 3 years to master. GEE I WONDER WHY. Because it WAS bad.

GTA V's driving is so much more enjoyable that going back to GTA IV makes me sick. From the moment I sit in my convertible Banshee outside my apartment in my old save file, I already feel like the game is just broken. Stomping on the accelerator in my car doesn't see me burning off into the distance. Instead it feels like my car weighs 10,000lbs and it sloooowly creeps forward. Then it slides all over the place just trying to turn while doing 20 mph. Next up is the awful roll that every single car has. The entire chassis tips side to side like a boat in the worst of storms.

GTA V is a god send and I sincerely hope they continue to improve their games driving physics in THIS direction and not the sh*tty GTA IV one.

Driving in IV = Realistic

Some people think that it's much more fun that way

I liked the driving in GTAIV. It was nice, sure it needed some minor tweaking but it was very nice.

GTAV's driving suck big elephant balls. It felt so SA-sh. If I want crappy handling, I'll startup GTA SA and play it.

SA actually has worse handling than both IV and V imo. The cars turn so sluggish and the crashes have little impact.

Yeah... do you realize San Andreas is 10 year old game?

Yeah, but I don't see what that has to do with it, considering I found GTA III and VC's cars to handle etter.

I can drive well with both handlings, but V's is just too dumbed down, too simple. IV was much more advanced in terms of physics and that stuff. In IV you are able to learn new ''tricks'' to be faster and cleaner driver and in V it's just ''drive from point A to B, use gas and brake and just simply turn the wheel, you don't have to counter-steer, game will do it for you''. Actually cars don't even skid. They are glued on the road.

There had to have been a happier medium & I thought Rockstar North would've got it right after 5 years of development. It's far from horrible but it's also far from perfect (for me).

I'm not entirely too awful at driving. I didn't play IV until late 2010, so I never mastered the driving, and I'm at a similar stage in V that I was in IV, mostly because I got a lot of practice with Franklin's ability.

I can't say I'm crappy at driving...I get away from a lot of players and bounty hunters..so I must have good driving skills. :)

Handling wise, I feel V feels more like GTA III or VC. SA has the worst car handling in any GTA game imo.
