One of the facts, stated that in the Deathwish ending, Franklin was supposed to be killed off, and replaced by Lamar, as a playable character. There was even more dialogue for Lamar. Exactly, even tho i like lamar and he is funny. i cant really see him as a playable character. but i would like to see more interactions with lamar... Tacymist Posted November 29, 2013 Share Posted November 29, 2013 I'm glad it was cut simply because I don't like having characters I've been playing as for an entire game to get killed off. Nonetheless I feel torn on whether or not I'd like Lamar as a protagonist. On one hand playing as him would be strange because he's just more of a supporting character than a lead, so I'm not sure how well he'd translate into a larger role. But on the other I would love to play as someone like Lamar, his missions would obviously be more hood oriented and that's what I felt GTA V lacked a lot in. Giles Flaggot 1 Posted November 29, 2013 Share Posted November 29, 2013 To be truly honest Franklin is a wasted character let alone a protagonist, he's more of a supporting cast kind of guy, most definitely not lead role material, neither is Lamar. I mean if Franklin was let's say the Balla that tried to kill him and Lamar at that deal, who would remember Franklin??? He and Lamar are horrid characters imho.
