Just to keep some people from whining around about it? . He doesn't really take Franklin very seriously because he is just a young kid, I give him that but he is never racial or has stigmas against him, It's kind of unauthentic. Just my 2 cents... Furthermore, it's not uncommon for someone to take a position that you ordinarily wouldn't expect them to take. Ellen Degeneres found herself targeted by an anti-gay group who were incensed that JC Penny hired her to do ads for them. She had an unexpected supporter in right wing conservative pundit Bill O'Reilly who likened the situation to the McCarthy era political witch hunts. That doesn't necessarily preclude O'Reilly from being homophobic, but in his mind apparently, there's a line that shouldn't be crossed. Many black people would be offended and eventually the Media would cover it, and so the game might be furthermore banned in other countries. He is more than likely racist. He has that personality. There's enough bigotry out there, video games don't need to contribute. Especially considering that the 7-15 year old demographic is the most sought after. On the other hand, if you look at movies, there's plenty of racism, misogyny, homophobia and the like. But you rarely, if ever, see those characters as the protagonist. Most racists are so, do to their political convictions which they have gained through their parents or society, Trevor is Canadian where racism is much less common than Southern United States. R* should worry more about sluggish controls and game breaking glitches/exploits before they get deeply concerned with a few lines of text, and how a few people may perceive them. Some people are just looking for something they can claim offends them. If the devs want a certain type of person in the game, they have every right to make them how they like...and I assume they did. A "race"( or breed or ethnicity ) is a classification system used to categorize humans into large and distinct populations. Much like dogs are classified into different groups. You wouldn't consider a pitbull and a beagle the same breed( or race or ethnicity ) even though they are both dogs. Or an even better example using dogs would be comparing a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and an American Staffordshire Terrier( which are both pitbulls but of a different breed ( or race or ethnicity).
