SAMP is fan made and you can have 1000 players! if r* cant pull that off then idk man Because it's an old game from 2004, it can actually run having 1000 people at once. Whereas no game right now (on current gen) can have multiplayer with 1000 people, a game like San Andreas is so old that every computer can run it, whereas GTAV has pushed the Xbox 360 and PS3 to it's limits right now - for my console it lags at times just with 16, with 1000 it wouldn't be playable - it would just be a big black hole of lag. (Mainly because if my car gets stolen, then I can see where it is at all times, and if someone destroys my car, if insured, then they have to pay for my car and I can just call the Insurance company to get my car back, without it, it would be destroyed and gone forever). I also think that 16 people is enough, alot of people kill me as it is and it's annoying, like what Fuzzknuckles said; adding 984 more people? It would just be hell on earth with constant killing.
