Not a single LONG hairstyle?

Why? You can´t make a biker character with the hair covering all the back, you can´t make a female character with long hair, there are no long hair options for any gender, how could they miss this?

 

I´ve finally unlocked all hairstyles for both genders, and there´s no hint of a long hairstyle. Will they rip us later for them on DLC?

The Developers would have to program it to interact with your shoulders/back/other body parts properly and move around when you run etc. Basically every strand of hair would be a separate model. Realistic hair has always been difficult for game developers so don't count on it ever being included.

in a game, the movements of long hair are very intensive on your console. at least if they want it to look good. better no long hair than half assed runescape hair in a game that otherwise looks awesome

I don´t need it to be that good, if it goes through parts of the character when moving, or it´s simply static, I don´t care.

lol they did it in San Andreas when it was fine in a low quality environment, the long hair was a part of their body texture and it didn't move

If having your crew emblem on your back erases all back tattoos you have, you really expect them to add long hair that'll cause even more problems?

 

The longest the women have I think is about as long as the surfer hairstyle recently released for males.

I understand it´s hard getting it 100% right.

 

Have you WWE games? ITheir character creation is as good as you´ll find in any game, and while in PS2 there were loads of long hairstyles, those dissapeared for PS3.

 

Anyway, hair with some basic and totally scripted movement for walking and running woud do the trick. I don´t need to see the hair flying during a free-fall or parachuting.

I'm wasn't really trying to excuse them, just offering my opinion that due to these reasons they probably never will add long hairstyles.

I work with Maya and I can confirm that realistic hair has one hell of a render time, and I understand that they haven't added that. And it would also take a long time to load all this since there is so many other things in this game. I don't think the consoles could have handled it anyway.

But there is a option with long hair that is braided with one braid on each side- why didn't they make different versions of that one? Like a braid on just one side with a little hair hanging on the other side, or one big braid on the back? Thats kind of boring.. I would rather have long static low res hairstyles than no long hairstyles at all though

so what about the beards? don't give me that bs that the game cant handle it. even sp mode has a couple of full beards.

 

oh and I would be happy if they removed yoga, tennis, golf and that non-functional stock market for better in-game options. lots of room for stuff if they erased all that useless junk.
