What is the best weapon?

I am currently using the carbine rifle but i was expecting more from it. So which weapon is the best excluding the special ones (minigun, rpg etc.)?

the one you use most. I find I kill more people using the same gun more than switching around. My preferences are, Carbine for asshats, Heavy MG for gangs unless its close then assault shotgun, and AP pistol in car.

i think the advanced rifle is the best all-round, otherwise:

 

heavy MG for large groups

assault shotgun for close-range

AP pistol when firing from your car

heavy sniper for long-range

and the minigun for anti-everything (except you can't use it in cover)

 

sooo pretty much the best weapon in each category, surprisingly. i don't rate the SMGs because they're outclassed by the MGs.

My favourite one is the Carbine Rifle because it can shoot people in longer range than the MG.

And yes, just switch around to what you need really, sticky's and grenade launcher are my favourite bombing weapons, I can only use RPG in survivals since I don't have them unlocked yet, but I can't seem to get the helis with it so I stick to my MG in bringing down choppers lol.

Assault shotgun. My personal favorite is the AK Assault rifle...I got the LSPD camo on it. <3

I used the carbine loads but of recent times it just isn't cutting the mustard. The fire rate appears a lot slower than whatever everyone else is killing me with so I'm playing with the Heavy MG and the A.rifle to see what is more effective. Don't understand what could have changed though? My strength went with the update, maybe that has something to do with it?

With the supressor on you can get a few shots in before the cops start digging you out.

Advanced Rifle for when I get tired of goofing around and need to kill something.

There's a reason why at different levels guns unlock. AP pistol, Advance rifle, Combat Mg, and that one automatic shotguns are the end game weapons of their class. I would assume they are the best ones and that would make sense. It's not like a shooter game where which ever weapon you choose, you can be good at it. Those games require aiming lol gta does not..

All of the weapons do the job. It's more about how you use it. I use the combat pistol in most situations but will switch to the carbine if the extra range is necessary. If the random griefer/s pop up, I usually stick to those two, unless they either use explosives or spawn kill. Then it's game on. Woot!

Combat MG or Advance Rifle are the best full autos. Combat MG for range and power, Adv. Rifle for rate of fire. Both usefull depending on what your doing.

Carbine is a better rifle than the assault for me. Way better accuracy, helps a lot in free aim.

Heavy Sniper, Combat MG, Carbine and .50 Pistol.... Sticky bombs in cars when you know how to use them.

my fav weapons are the AP pistol, assault shot gun and the carbine rifle . i also prefer to use the sniper gun on helicopters , have taken down a couple that way .

I have died more from shotguns than anything else but i still prefer using the Carbine Rifle no surprise though as the Assault Rifle was my fave in. GTA4.

Now im not going to lie, the assault rifle was a bit better in GTA 4...when i compare the zoom range.

 

I havent gotten to rank 70 so i havent used the advanced rifle. In fact, during my Survival, i found myself sticking with the carbine.
