The reason why SOME people like GTA IV's mp to V's.

Nostalgia.

And we've had GTA IV for 6-7 years.

Anything else is no. ^

Or maybe other people have tastes that differ from your own? Perish the thought.

I agree to a point. But I think it's just that most people are of the "let's blow stuff up and shoot shoot bang bang each other over and over with no penalties or thought" mindset and others are more "let's have a sense of progression, with rules and punishments, and more in depth gameplay, while simulating the rising through the underworld aspect that GTA is known for."

It's all about the type of gamer. I, myself, enjoy the new one better, but I won't ever diss the fun I had in 4.

I like both maps, but GTA V's map, to me at least, screams "wasted potential". I'm guessing more functionality will be added down the line, but as it stands that's how I feel. Having a large map is great and all, but not when half of it is basically empty. As far as MP itself, I guess it doesn't affect it so much, but for random DMs and such I prefer IV's map/style.

Overall I like GTA V better, though. I couldn't be bothered to finish IV.

Nostalgia?!

Reasons why GTAIV MP was better:

1. Remove the police option

2. Can jack cars without getting a bounty every minute or cops chasing if you have a stolen car

3. No punishment when dying or having your car blow up (Bills, insurance, and losing some ammo when dying)

4. Free ammo and guns, in GTAO you get them in crates or survival

5. Ragdoll effect and bursting out the window when you crash

6. Driving was better to some people compare to GTAO

7+. More reasons, but I'm too lazy to put them

There can be more reasons why people like GTAIV MP than GTAO, including some of the reasons I stated.

But I like GTAO better than GTAIV due to the fact that everyone in GTAlV MP only plays at the airport, removes the police, puts friendly, or have auto aim on. I'm never going back to that game and there wasn't much missions to do either.

Well of course there will be more added down the line. They released an incomplete game.

Hopefully we'll get more pixelated tattoos and pork pie hats! Maybe even a rusty fork to stab people with! One can only dream...

A lot of games are relased incomplete for one reason or another, and never get finished. Fallout New Vegas (one of my favorite games, despite its flaws) is a perfect example of this. Yeah I know it's not the same, since that's not an online game, but you know what I mean.

I don't think it's that. But on the other hand I feel that V will never be nostalgic. For example I hear broken wings on the radio and I tear up everytime

Thats it? I thought the people who said they liked GTA IV's MP more than GTA V's MP was because they were angry that Rockstar added the bad sport server to punish griefers (which is what everyone did in GTA IV since it was about the only thing you could do)

I remember people tweeting at Rockstar's twitter that the bad sport server punishes "the good players who are playing GTA the way it was meant to be played."

GTA V may end up being nostalgic...I mean come on..dat Eddie Murphy song is iconic for all the wrong reasons.

I liked how there was the option to have traffic parked in GTA IV... no random cars going in front of you every two seconds.
