The Showroom: BF Injection

Well well well.. looky here, we're back again with another Showroom topic, and this time let's take a look at the BF Injection.

Background/Design

The BF Injection is what you call... the sandy OG, since it's been in the series since the beginning. This dune buggy that resembles that of a Meyers Manx, which is pretty much a kit that was made from a VW Beetle. It's overall design has changed quite a bit since its first appearance but still serves the same purpose... to rip the dunes. As good as an off road vehicle it is, it just sucks that there's not much visual customization you can do to it. Did you know that it's name may be a play on "beef injection", which is a slang term for sex lol oh rockstar.

So let's take a look at how much of the design has changed since. (GTA VCS, VC, LCS, III, SA)

185px-BFInjection-GTAVCS-front.jpg185px-BFInjection-GTAVC-front.jpg185px-BFInjection-GTALCS-front.jpg185px-BFInjection-GTA3-front.jpg185px-BFInjection-GTASA-front.jpg

Speed - 7.0

The BF Injection has great speed, and I'm speaking only about it's performance on dirt road. Due to the traction on the rear wheels, it has great traction on dirt. But if you choose to take this to the streets... you're gonna have a bad time.

Handling - 7.0

The BF Injection actually has great handling, well compared to the rest of the other off road vehicles. It has a relatively light body which makes it perfect for ripping through the sand, and not to mention it being sturdy as hell too.

Overally Rating - 7.5

Now don't get me wrong, I love the BF Injection. Ever since I saw it in GTA III I knew just had to drive it. Oh and plus it's always been the staple dune buggy in each game, and I personally love the SA design the most. In conclusion the BF Injection is a great vehicle to use when going off the road, but really lacks customization options :(

Locations

  • Can be seen driving around Sandy Shores and Blaine County
  • Can be purchased online via-game for $16,000

So what do you guys think of the BF Injection?

And if you happen to own one, make sure to post pictures!

What glitch did you use to change the wheels? O.o

2nd thread in 'guides, strategies and tricks'. think the only thing you can change on the injection is the wheels. work w other vehicles too.

also have this dune buggy, w all the performance upgrades i have unlocked!!! very fast n nimble. here i jumped off a hill, landed and got it stuck

Not a lot of love for one of my favourite cars....

With an old crew logo and paint job, recently redone but not yet photographed.

As far as rust goes, I found that after painting it and putting it through a car wash it was less visible. Could just be psychological though..

I am a huge fan of the BF Injection and imo this version is the best of all the gtas and I have to disagree it is just as agile on the streets as it is offroad. I have had mine since I started playing, it's been destroyed over a thousand times at least. Best car in game in my opinion. I have become skilled at driving it, I can drift it and powerslide it thru corners.

Yeah even though all injections are rough and grainy looking it still beats the horrible rusts from the beater cars :p

Yeah I don't know how to do that either. The Injection has always been unique with its wheel set but then again some people use it not just for off-road.

New colours and current emblem.

Well with the injection's brand logo set as your crew emblem, I'm not surprised as to why you love the Injection so much. Awesome vehicle.

I cant seem to drive one that doesn't "randomly" explode everytime I go off road.

Maybe you shouldn't randomly go off the road... into a cliff... crashing then exploding... lol

I'm guessing you gotta play around with it bit before it works perfectly... or maybe I just suck at doing this lol.

Whether I'm bounty hunting or bounty escaping, this car does the job well. Bruce Lee approves...

The BF Injection hasn't been around since the start of the series, it wasn't in gta 1 or 2.

The only other comment on the op would be to add that a "hot beef injection" is an old term often for *homosexual* sex. I always figured it was just another R* gay joke.

As for the car itself, tiny rear windows are great for defensive purposes, it's zippy and fairly agile but it does have a tendency to flip with full mods if you aren't careful. I love the car, only wish it had a larger wheelbase.

I find it handles fine on paved roads personally.

A better method for all options appears on page 3 of the thread, near the bottom. I'll repost it since it's short and forgive me for the clutter.

1. Create an invite only session and park your vehicle outside near the LSC

2. Take a random car and get inside the LSC, then choose the custom menu your want to give to your car

3. At this moment go to the store

4. Once you're on the store, don't leave, just unplug your ethernet cable5. It'll put you in SP. Sign in again and create a new invite only session.

6. If your spawn location was set to last position, you'll spawn inside your vehicle near the LSC

7. Now just drive inside the LSC and the menu you chose on step 2 will appear.

Oh nice! I can't wait to try it again once I get the chance to go online.

Yeah oops I should've made it more specific when saying its been there from the start I meant as in from the 3D games up to the HD games.

Yes it is true that the Injection wasn't in the original top view games but let's be honest most of the cars in those games hardly make an appearance anymore. :/ So I kind of consider those ones on a separate series but alas you're still right so thanks for that correction!

Lol hot beef injection, oh man I didn't know the word hot was there in the original term but that's pretty funny. Rockstar's always been putting gay jokes in their games :p Good stuff!

One more from me. In crew colour aka classic vw light blue. In game colour diamond blue is pretty similar. Crew emblem slightly modified to work on light colours...

Locally, the term hot beef injection isn't specific to gay sex. Its not in common usage these days but it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to say you gave HER the hot beef injection.

That does make sense, but now I'm wondering where that term really originated from (country-wise)... I've lived in two countries now and I still haven't heard that term being commonly used.
