Ummm when you have a bounty and your car gets blown up, you have to pay for it and the person who blew it up doesn't pay. hence why I am a dick. I saw his car and wanted to blow it up so I put a 1k bounty on him and blew his car up and he has to pay for it.

I'm a huge fan of theirs. i met them a couple years ago.

 

They have a 95 Trans Am in one of their music videos which is how i was originally introduced to their music. I've had mine since before the song came out and before i even knew who Simple Plan was. i have a whole bunch of weird coincidences with them and their music. for one i'm the same age as pierre the lead singer and my name is peter. my dad passed away the day they finished recording their newest album and on father's day the next year i heard the song "gone too soon" off that album for the first time which is about losing loved ones. They referenced my xbl/twitter id in a vlog that summer right before i met them at warped tour in Florida so i got to explain what blk1995ta meant lol. Earlier this year, i read on FB that a friend of mine lost a friend of theirs in a bike accident. i posted the song "gone too soon" on their fb wall only to find out the guy who died had the last name of Comeau which ironically is SP's drummer's last name. There are several other weird coincidences as well but it would take me awhile to get into all of them.

 

 

music vid with the 95 t/a in it. this location is actually in GTA V and i once drove up there in my T/A in game and a cop shot a ped and the ems showed up...it was quite eerie. it's the griffith park tunnel seen in bttf 2 and who framed roger rabbit.

I brought a chrome adder and entity and couldn't believe the response it gets. People see me riding by and immediately u turn and start shooting me... hahahahaaa I love it. I get to kill people allday because of it. I love it so much I put chrome on all 10 of my card and won't drive a car thats not chromed now

As a nihilist I'm disgusted by this post. As a student of philosophy I'm delighted to see it in this otherwise black hole of intelligence.

 

 

It says that everyone should be autonomous by thinking exactly the same, only doing things that everyone as a whole would do and that giving you some compass on what is black and white rational... big load of crap.

 

Different societies have different thought processes, suggesting its only rational to do things everyone would do is ridiculous.. and to suggest you have to do everything you do before its rational.

 

I dont know how anyone could listen to that and think it makes sense in terms of practice.. its irrational to get ice cream because I dont need to get icecream? wut?

 

It also makes very little comment on griefing people, besides that everyone does grief other people (yourself included if you realize it or not).. so if anything, that video argues its rational to grief people.

 

 

 

Country is invaded and 3 genocides committed upon them, is it rational to fight back? If my country is invaded and my people have genocides committed on them by an oppressor, I must try to repel said oppressor? What if everyone repelled said oppressor? Does that suggest armed struggle is only rational because if everyone did it, it would be a good thing.. or does it suggest it totally irrational and infer people arent being rational if they attempt to alleviate themselves from it.. only because not everyone would have the courage to do it? What is rational and what people are willing to do are 2 different things.

 

Just a bunch of crap logic if you ask me, guy needs to go back to the drawing board.

 

 

You sir, need to take come classes in understanding philosophical argument... You completely missed the point of the whole thing.

 

This guy.. for one.. is just expressing the thoughts of a Prussian fellow by the name of Immanuel Kant. He is famous for his metaphysical work on space and time as well as his ethical works, mainly the categorical imperative.

 

Now... The main mistake you made here in understanding Kant's logic is you said "The reason for doing something is because everyone else is doing it.." or in your words "only doing things that everyone as a whole would do and that giving you some compass on what is black and white rational... big load of crap."

 

Now... This isn't what Kant is saying. What he is saying is if you take any given action... to determine whether it is good willed or not, you think about whether or not it would be a good thing if everyone in the world did it as well. So.. take your genocide example... if you want to kill someone.. anyone... and you wait and think "well, if everyone in the world killed people would it be good?" well no because then over half the population would be dead from everyone killing one person. So that action is a bad action. [/background]

This also works with defending yourself agaisnt someone trying to kill you... if someone is trying to kill you... and you defend yourself agaisnt him/her.... then take it it as if everyone defends themselves agaisnt someone who is trying to kill them then... ya thats a good thing... everyone should defend themselves.... Kant isnt saying what you -should- do is what everyone else is doing... but instead what you -should- do is only good if it remains good after everyone else does it as well. it kind of plays in the same as treat others as you would like to be treated because if you are treating someone bad and you apply the categorical imperative then if everyone treats everyone bad then no.. it is not a good willed action as you will be treated bad as well.

 

The 2nd part of the lecture goes on the ability that we should let everyone be free to rationally choose their own decisions. This is the same as the 1st part as Kant says however it is a bit more simplified. This is where griefing is best seen as a bad or evil deed. If you are using another human to a means to your own end then you are limited his/her ability to make rational decisions for themselves. Griefing does exactly this... you are using that person for your own entertainment and while doing it you limit his/her ability to be a free thinking rational player. This is bad because if you apply the first bit of logic then if everyone griefed.. well if everyone griefed eachother GTA O would be waaaaaayyyy worse then it really is..... think about it... no cooperation ever... just griefing... durring missions, races, survivals, everything.... and dont tell me this is the way it is already because there is a good balance of cooperation and pvp as it stands now.
