Removing the Minimap?

I've seen this question asked a few times here but cannot find an answer.

Does removing the minimap and/or HUD put you in lobbies with people who also have these features disabled? I'd like to try this out, but not if it means I'm the only one who can't see these things.

I don't think so, because its a preference similar to having the hud on or off. But it would be awesome to have a full lobby and everyone's maps are disabled by choice. Not only that but even though the map is huge it wouldn't be hard to find people, and if it were then maybe larger lobbies would have to be supported.

 

Speaking of lobby sizes, did you know that there are game types that support more than 16 people? I remember a certain game type I was playing and forgive me for forgetting what job type it was but the max number of players was 18!!!
