Best car finding trick ever is start solo session. I don't mean an invite only and not invite anyone but the solo option. Cars seems to spawn more similarly to single player and you actually see more than one type of car driven NPCs at the same time

Your best bet is the top end of Los Santos - the northern most 2 blocks ... anywhere from the golf course in the west across to winewood in the east ... and then up into the mansions in Vinewood Hills

 

And maybe down into rockford hills as well

 

Also some talk of them spawning at the race track

 

Seems they are pretty rare except when Simeon is requesting them, so maybe wait until then ?

Actually, that is a REALLY good point.

 

I am sure that under certain circumstances the game has trouble storing/rendering all the objects in the game. Most notably when there a lot of people in the session and when you are moving around the map quickly. Their solution seems to be to cut back on the number of different vehicles and NPCs - in fact, at some stages you'll end up in a ghost town with only other players and maybe 1 type of vehicle driving around often by your mechanic if you've used him recently or by just 1 cloned NPC.

Get the mission Gassed Up or something from Gerald. The schafter is at the drug deal.

That's the Schwartzer. The two-door sports version of the Schafter, which is a Sedan.

I finally got one from the mission gassed up. However, LSC is closed and my garage says I can't store the vehicle. What do I do? HELP.

you need 2 people to get the car from a mission.. one person delivers the drugs or whatever while the 2nd person (in car to take from mission) is nowhere near the drop off point. i'll dupe my schafter for you when i'm online in an hour or so.

Unfortunately after 1.06 patch, you cannot store any vehicles in the garage during missions. Although from what I heard, the Phoenix is an exception. However, if you have two people and both of you are in the car or you, you can keep it after the other finish the mission.

 

Anyhow, the folks here already gave you the location on where it spawn and one dude is willing to dupe his for you.

Impossible, I did this last night with the patriot.

1. Start mission

2. Get vehicle

3. Drive to personal garage

4. Exit garage on foot

5. Pass or fail mission

6. Return to garage to retrieve vehicle

I just saved a Canis Mesa Off Road from doing stocks and scares for Lester. The key to keeping the vehicle after the mission is to drive into the yellow marker, without exiting the vehicle. Some missions like Geralds u can't do that, but I stayed in mine when I dropped the briefcase off to Lester went back into free mode and I was still in it. Only thing was I had to buy the insurance for it. But I wanted this truck for a while and the all black one appears only on a few missions. But Schafters are a dime a dozen, I see them allot even in regular lobbies, but solo is your best bet, same with the F620, which I also see allot.
