What to buy if you won the lottery

Well first I'd keep it in a high interest account, not for any time, just put it in there so it lasts as long as possible. Then I'd buy a nice house, nothing too extravagant, and a nice car, and I'd retire, not have to work for the rest of my life because I didn't go out and waste all of the money, so I'd be able to do what I want, play what games I wanted etc. Maybe I'd do some work occasionally if I really liked the job but I'd have enough money to tell them to stick it if I ever got bored.

OR

Buy a successful business and allow it to run its self and have no part in it whatsoever and just watch the money roll in and repeat as above but houses and cars more like bill gates.

Better off investing in something, inflation will eat up your interest.

This. I get .01% in my savings account.

.01 PERCENT. And people wonder why no one has any savings.

Oh, Australia pays like 3-4% but still way better off investing.

At least yours is above your inflation rate, mine is 1/96th of it.

Well.

In Finland lottery wins are around ~5 million euros mostly.

I'd probably buy the best kind of a PC there is at first, lol. Then I'd buy the most expensive accessories for it. After that I don't really know - maybe some kind of a car to wait until I turn 18...

Then, maybe a house somewhere? With the money I have, I'd probably move to another country.

Then maybe buy random tech companies and attain monopoly over technology. Then create Skynet and make Terminator happen.

In Spain, there are prizes from 6 million € to 414 million €

My biggest win was once that i made 400€ on the Christmas Lottery after i spent 50€ on tickets.

The first thing i would do if i won "El Gordo" (Number 3 explains http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Christmas_Lottery#El_Gordo) would be probably buy a nice house in the best part of town and buy myself a nice garage in which i could park about 60 cars. Then, i would buy my mother a nice house where ever she wants and a Rolls Royce Phantom to take her any where she wants.

She could be mine...

Why bother typing all the things I would do with the money if I already know that I won't ever have that much...

You never know what you'll end up with, to be honest. ;)

I'd buy a decent sized house in somewhere like Los Angeles, nothing extremely expensive and flashy but something decent sized and tidy.

Then I'd buy a Lamborghini Miura and an E92 or something, again I wouldn't spend too much.

Then I'd just keep the rest to spend on everyday things like food and electricity etc. I'd probably not go on holidays and stuff, I'd just stay at home most of my time and just waste money on random games etc. Stress-free life.

And I get literally nothing from my bank, but the point was that with interest on such a huge amount of money you could practically live off that alone.

Sure you could fine some bank manager that was willing to give you some interest for that amount of money.

I'd probably buy a gaming laptop and a new TV, I wouldn't buy a new car or house because then people will know you have come into a lot of money and won't stop asking you for some

Bungalow by the seaside for me and my mum. Fitted with all the proper disabled equipment to make my mums life as easy as possible. Also would get her on private health care. Would make sure I had a garage for my cars. I'd love to import an El Camino from the US and get it sprayed matte black. I'd get myself a nice camper van so I could drive off into the countryside for some alone time whenever I wanted to. I'd definitely get myself a good gaming PC too and spend a sh*tload of money on Steam. Would also like to travel a bit, especially to Japan so I can get tattooed by some of the great Irezumi artists.

Revenge of the Donut

A decent house in the country somewhere, there'd be room for family and friends if they needed to stay over, it'd be big enough to have it's own gym. I'd have to get a gaming room too, with a massive TV and surround sound, I'd order a new gaming PC too. If it was a large enough amount of money I'd buy my Mum a place of her own.

I wouldn't blow it all though if I could help it, I'd try to invest what was left in something or save it so it would last me for the rest of my life. Not sure how I'd go about it though.

heh, well For me it wouldent be no generic dream car paradice, (you know expencive BMWs audis, all that kinda stuff I find so dull and soul less, just my opinion but ya)

a nice big house, in florida, with a pool, and large garage, and even tho im not a fan of the audis and bms, id have a black mercedes G55 amg for a regular car, and some other stuff, a 59 cadillac eldorado convertible, a 32 ford roadster hotrod, done in a triditnal greaser kinda style, fenderless black, with flame paintjob, ford flathead, all that stuff, and then id build an RV, that looks like a worn out POS winibago from the outside, but is a hightec paradice inside.

I just like... unusual things is all, tho I would have to go for the generic home movie theater thing, and have a big ass white kitchen heh,

$300 Million, yeah? Hmmm...

First off, I'd buy a huuuuge house in the English country side wit plenty of land, then do the same in America.
Huge garage/workshops at both houses with car and bike lifts, all the tools I'd ever need. (f*ck Snap-On)
I'd then occupy said garages with;

YZF450 - Motocross setup, tuned by whoever did Bubba's yammys, re-worked suspension etc etc.

YZF450 - Supermoto setup, ^.

Suzuki GSX-R 1300 Turbo - 250+ rwhp, no fa**oty stretched swingarm. I shall ride it like a man.

Stadium Super Truck - Because I want to go and tear sh*t up in the dunes.

And then street cars would probably change from one week to the next if I'm honest, alternating between trucks, muscle and jap. The rest would sit and wait until I have children of my own so they can experience my lucky strike.
