Sub hunting.

I've heard bounties will sometimes evade capture by diving underwater in the sub.

Got me thinking..

What if you shtikied a car, picked said car up with the cargo bob, hovered over the red dot in the ocean (sub) dropped shtickied car, wait for it to sink, then blow it up?

 

Not even sure if shtickies work under water, just throwing this out there..

I started evading my bounty by doing this method

 

Some guy did the same yesterday near Mount Chilliad, and he was hiding under a rock underwater! So that way you couldn't kill him...

 

It was near the 25k spot from single player (near the place where you get the bomb for trevor)

Lol I love getting a sub with a bounty. Its fun when they come in a boat and you pretend you are Jaws and try to capsize their boats with the sub. Its also really easy to splatter a swimmer.

Sub is at the top right of the map near some islands? I've looked at the docks but it never seems to be there..

Merryweather docks, you'll find it there (at least I find it there... level 64 BTW)

Just throw stickies off the side of the boat. I used the sub once and someone tried using stickies as depth charges. They do work underwater but he wasn't able to hit me with them.

Just curious why some people are so set on running and hiding from a bounty? I normally love the thrill of letting others chase me around to where finally I just say f*ck it and let them kill me. It's funny watching horrible Buzzard pilots trying to blow you up, hop out of a car and pop them out of the cockpit.

 

Those that run into an apartment are the most annoying players.. I get so f*cking aggravated everytime I see a bounty and they're at an apt, I always send a message 'Is your bounty that scary?' Not even all that much money just to take the time to evade and keep the money.

 

Have more fun with your bounties fellas.. see how long you can last while evading rather than holding up in your garage or apt.

 

On topic: I don't see why that shouldn't work, Canuck.. though it sounds awfully alot of work just to do it.. being you don't know the depth of the sub.

Yesterday I had a $9k bounty on my head and 3 people were after me. I got the sub and they tried killing me with the buzzard, sticky bombs, shooting, etc. Nothing happened. I destroyed my sub by crashing on rocks too many times lol

 

after that I escaped with my infernus and stole a jet from the military base

Subs make bounty hunting more challenging and I prefer those who enter it. I can take down a chopper easily and when the crew is rolling, going on ground/on foot is pointless. When people evade in subs though, it's the one time where we have to tactically try to take down the sub and it requires our group to cooperate more.

I can't find the sub anymore (107) I used to see it at the docks near the heli station but I don't know where to look now.

Sub-hunting fun:

 

I got in a 1 on 1 grudge match with a guy tonight starting in Paleto Bay. After a few reciprocal kills, I ended up down near the sub dock, on the rocks, with no car (I drove it over the cliff and into the water), and a vengeful bastard on my tail. Luckily for me, the cops were giving him a hard time up on the road, and so I made it under the pier to the sub.

 

I got the sub out to deep water before he could snipe me. Soon, I saw he was over me on the map. I stayed deep and kept stopping and then moving, and of course since he could see my dot on the map he was able to track my movements. After a while, I ascended to about 60 feet depth so I could see what boat he had, and it was a jetski, as I expected. I kept well submerged, and then I saw him swimming in the water, so he could look down and see my depth; otherwise he had no way of knowing how far down I was.

 

He got back on the jetski and stayed over me as I kept moving in the sub. I thought I would come up near the surface, so that if he got off the jetski into the water again, I could rapidly surface and gun him down as he got back on the jetski. But he started using sticky bombs as depth charges and got me on about the third one. Sub hunt successful for him. Even though I got blown up, I liked the cat-and-mouse sub hunt game.
