I haven't looked at GTA scripting, but I've worked with a few assembly languages in the past. If you want some extra eyes on it I could take a look.

What about UV maps .xdd models? :cry:

Regarding the railway on the mountain side, I'll be very happy if you can help me track it in the files.. Which rpf is it? If we had a general location we'll know where to look..

I saw the alien hud animation, nice that the files are actually swf files you can watch easily :-)

 

Yeah.. the railway. I'll try to figure out where it is located. Coule the map position help you out a little bit?

 

I found (as I said in my very old posting) a file with wood texture in it. Could help:

 

p_secret_weapon_02+hidr.xtd

Texture file with interesting file name...

Inside are two graphics, prop_chrome_dirty_02 and prop_wood_plank_05

Both show exactly what the filenames tell you.

 

 

 

How do I find the files? Try and error by going through all rpfs?

What area is it ingame? I know most of the file areas and there names so can direct you roughly where to go i think.

 

Also talkol posted placeable coords earlier in the topic... anyone searched this for these chrome dirty or wood plank files?

Also will try to give you a general direction in the game files and if not i will get into them and find it... where is this train? Paleto? Chiliad? Hippy camp? Zancudo? And is it a tunnel you guys are talking about? Or the train itself? Sorry if i missed something you previously talked about.

I'm not at my console a few days, my xbox is at a friends house for a few days.

 

The screenshot i posted is googled "gta 5 old mine" and was linked from a page where socialclub pictures are shown.

 

I went to this spot ingame while collecting ufo parts or letter scraps. One of it was right at this spot. I'm not sure where this spot exactly was. Kind of in the middle of the map. I think a racing follows a mountain path next to this entrance.

RE: Secret Weapon Crate

 

I was playing Online and did a mission with friends where we entered Humane Labs, hacked the keypad and stole a van containing some chemical stuff. When driving away I noticed a box in the back which almost filled the load space of the van. It was brown and had straps on it. However I couldn't tell if it had two or three.

 

I didn't know if this would spawn as an object as it never left the van and required no user interaction. Sorry I couldn't get more info. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

It was Chemicals. The clue was in the fact you had to steal ..... Chemicals....

I need someone who has experience with gtaiv/SA scripting. Whoever can help me solve my issues can get a copy of the disassembler

Have you tried contacting Frank.s (he's done a lot of scripting on mods for IV) flitskikker (made the SCO ToolBox), or Twisted89 or Fantaseb (not sure where the best place to contact them, but I believe they modified SCO toolbox to work with RDR).

the first 2 aren't the mine, but are of some tunnel close by.. not too interesting but still. you have the world map camera location so you can plot it to see where it is

@talkol I know I haven't been on much but I've read every post. You guys are getting alot of awesome stuff done and in a months time or less we can solve this mystery. Btw is that a collision model of the mine if so it is an interest we overlooked.

It's funny because about an hour after I made my post asking for help I had a random stranger give me a list of GTAV natives out of nowhere that i've never spoke to before in my life. We've been hammering this sh*t out ever since. XSC's are completely decompiled. We're just trying to track down the rest of the natives at this point.

 

I hate to say it though guys but I really firmly believe there's no jetpack in the game. I have no hard evidence of it to present right now but after tearing through the script files, decompiling the xex and tearing through that too. I just don't see anything related to a jetpack, a flyable UFO, or anything. I see TONS of stuff from cut content/future DLC that makes vague references to it. But nothing that actually currently exists. Sorry guys I wish I had better news :(

Any chance on sharing the scripts? I think I recall you saying you wont due to cheaters, but I'm quite interested in how VTOLs work, the in-game websites, vehicle spawning, and heli turbulence.

 

Also, are you still looking into xmt/cmts?

It's all very low level assembly. Once I start translating blocks of code into higher level functions sure. But as is someone could easily take my output and make their own tool within a couple days. It provides the opcodes offset and parameters. At that point if someone opened up the same xsc file they could easily figure ur how to do it on their own.

Oh yeah after you get it where it's readable for most people, and not PPC assembly :pp

 

Also about ufo.xsc, that's just about loading the UFOs that we know about, nothing special there?

It's low level enough I can barely figure it out I need to map the missing natives first.

Hi guys i read that you are looking for a Lazer smaller and with another weapons : it could be one that Ron's build.

In trevor online mission called "diamonds are for trevor" i've seen Ron is building a Lazer to shoot down alien spacecraft. he needs diamonds.

 

Have you checked all ron's conversation in game files ?

I nixed the last 2 bytes of the offset and ther eare very little opcodes here so I feel comfortable posting it.

 

This is from launcher_omega.xsc. Clearly you can see it called the native task_parachute_to_target. Could this be our third omega encounter? Could he just drop on us out of nowhere after certain conditions are completed? Could this explain why we see NOTHING in the files about a location that we need to go to?

 

I'm having no luck personally with this, but someone should try to convert the 3 fpush calls into actual floating point values. They are powerPC floats if that helps at all. This should be the X Y and Z of where the task ends.

It was Chemicals. The clue was in the fact you had to steal ..... Chemicals....

 

 

There is no need for a cocky reply. I never implied that it was a secret weapon. I was fully aware that they were chemicals.

 

Fun fact for the day - there are such things as chemical weapons. However, that is not what I was implying. There is a case discovered in the game files named 'secret weapon case,' or similar. I forget the file name. As this has not been found, and is different to the two-strap cases in the military trucks, I thought it was worth mentioning.

The values I got for those three floats are: 64.6, -737.8, 44.2.

It could also be the reverse (44.2, -737.8, 64.6) depending on whether the parameters are pushed in reverse order as is common with some assembly calling conventions, but it doesn't make much of a difference to the resulting position. It's somewhere in downtown, not too far from the Penris and other important buildings. Great work Reoze!

What about the z coord? This would make it street level wouldnt it? I thought 30ish was sea level?

and @reoze i know, i was kinda bummed they didnt shout out everyones work over here and even said we are yet to find the glyphs lol guess no one told them about the progress we made here.

 

Anyway great work guys, we know who has done what and put the time in and if i get a chance i will always give the credit to you all, also those who came before us and made the original discoveries... although they all gave up lol so will get a happy after mention, i jokes.

 

Ok back to topic... did you say this is where the "task" ends?
