A question. I have a laptop that is nowhere near running GTA, with Intel HD 4000 haha, but I want to participate in File Hunt. If I downlaod GTA as torrent, could I then search the files with OpenIV?

My honest opinion is that not enough searches into the right files were made and everything was half done last time. This time i would rather everyone takes a small part and digs through thoroughly...

 

There were many things found and never explained like vehicle controls unlike any vehicle we have found... maybe or maybe not having coords for the alien egg... i already said there were so many sound files i listened to that could have been something and needed filters used on them or to be slowed or speeded up... many many unexplained things and no one can say for sure everything was explored... we explored a lot and got deep but just as breakthroughs were made, people became closed off and didnt follow through or give us open access to the files or scripts or maps etc...

 

It will hopefully be different this time round and we will hopefully have more luck with the PC files... if enough people with the right knowledge are actually still interested in "cracking this egg" lol

Jetpack still exists.

Search for "gadget_jetpack" (0x6A060D9C) and you will find it.

Plus the hash was found in 2 places i believe. The director mode script and a menu script?

 

But no model for it yet.

There are lots of guns in this game that has no sound files. Instead they have a script that makes other gun sounds change its sound pitch and adds other effects and gives it to the gun.

 

For example, SNS pistol has no sound

But it uses higher pitch version of 50cal pistol sound.(there are a lot complicated ones too)

 

Also i cannot open the script when i open with notepad, it gives me weird ass letters and numbers

 

Reason im saying this is that maybe theres a script like this in game files for jetpack that tells the game to use another set of props and change their shape to A Jetpack.

 

Ill write that script's directory when i get on pc

It was bad enough listening to every sound let alone changing its pitch etc.. as u do it.

 

But i am certain there is more in the sounds of the game to be discovered and they are relatively easy to listen to so anyone who wants to feel free to get stuck in lol

 

Edit: and it has been thought of that the jetpack could be peices of other vehicles... we just need to fine comb through what we know for the next lead.

Most of the old file hunters are still gone, however, there are a lot of new people who seem to be interested and capable of getting into the files.

(I tried to read the whole post but It was way too boring , so I went from page 56 to page 122. Sorry if this is outdated , I wanted to say my opiniones about some old things)

Why are u guys still looking into the files? Every interesting thing was already founded , and you're ruining Rockstar's surprises (I refer to the DLC) by discovering after each DLC that something new is coming. Just look at GTA V Beta hunt , that place is full of reposts now because everything have been discovered. Why does nobody thinks that things like "secret weapon crate" "fort zancudo elevator" "second floor at mt chiliad" "alíen egg" "the asteroid" "the Jetpack" and the "observatory crack" are just cut things that Rockstar wanted and that is the end? Sorry if this examples are old but you see all the comments refering to these and its crazy. Why does every thing in this gamee needs a double sense? Of course these things are interesting but they are unfinished or the product of a rushed cut that ley everything there , useless stuff. After all , they can't be aware of every cut file. Your work and dedication its amazing , that's for sure.

And specially , why do u think that the Mt. Chilliad easter egg can be solved? Why it can't be a easter egg like all of easter eggs in previus games? There are a lot of clues around the map , but that's all. The alíen egg doesn't spawn in the game. The Jetpack doesn't exist , we just have 3 files. At one point u will discovered every single thing of the game and then , u will know how much hours u spended on unfinished things or products of a rushed cut.
