However, as I said yesterday you can't run around claiming you know more than everyone, you're just being cocky. That right there is the problem with you. You're a mister know it all, and last night I proved you don't know everything. You had no clue there was an alternative to the iFruit app, and I proved to you there was and that you don't know everything. I'm not trying to be an ass to you, but you can't go around claiming you know more than me or the next guy. Just ease up on that claim and nobody will dislike you. You can claim you solved the mural and that's fine, but it's also just your opinion. You don't actually have solid proof that you solved it(even though you MAY be entirely right about it). You just think you have, and that's where that cocky attitude comes in.You think you're better than everyone else. Just knock that off and even I would enjoy your posts. You have to treat others as an equal. Show some respect and you'll get it back. Do unto others as you would have done unto you. I'm not telling you you're wrong for thinking you solved the mural, but you're telling me I'm wrong for thinking there's more to it? Think about what you're saying man. I don't wanna fight you and this post is not intend for that. It's just to show you how you're acting.

And you didn't prove anything, you downloaded an emulator. So u are using the ifruit app on an emulated android system. I'm assuming on your pc. This isn't an alternative app. Its emulating the hardware required for the app to work.

Now I'm all for people doing what they want, believing what they want but you're right there is a way to go about things. I never intended to come of as cocky and everyone interprets thing differently. However I wasnt rude or abusive to any members here, so are my posts really worth the reaction they got?

I did prove you don't know it all, just because it's emulated doesn't mean it's not an ALTERNATIVE way to use the app. See this is why people dislike you. You're to cocky. I'm done with you, I'm just gonna block you, because that's the smarter thing to do.

It was starting to get back on track too, this has happened more than once in these threads, can the members not getting along be punished and not the rest of us who work working on stuff. There were a lot of good leads.

 

Who cares if there is something to find or not, this has majorly extended the games life for me and I enjoy following the topic and seeing other people brains at work as well and to see different ways of thinking.

 

 

EDIT, Im with ERAM, all those posting here we should move to the metaphors thread so this doesn't get locked, this is a great thread and we don't want it ruined too

I've already blocked out anyone who isn't helping our case. It works wonders. Non existent, like any proof that the mural has been solved.

Hey, I was watching another thread and now I came here to see if someone could clear this out:

 

You must have heard it already, when you are at Davis, there's a musical loop that constantly sounds. It's something like a bass line or a booming sound. Is there a clear audio file to do a comparison? Because someone said that sounded similar to a musical loop that could be heard in GTA III

 

Anyone? I'd do it myself if I knew how but I can't

@Vec Your best bet is to PM Tadd. Last I heard he was still popping in occasionally and responding to PMs. He went through and listened to every audio file in the game.

Out of interest - when elevators in the game go up and down such as in the FIB building in the mission - is there coding to move it? Or something?

 

My question is...if the FZ elevator in the bunker is meant to work at all, should there be a coding or something to make it work, and could we prove or disprove whether it can be triggered by finding this or finding nothing

 

We know the doors on it can open...is this coded too? Sorry for being so uneducated on the subject

Hi guys sorry ive not been around, ive been so busy and so out of the hunt i wouldnt know where to start again lol

 

Let me first just say i am always here via PM if im needed and also let me just say...

 

This must be the 20th time a mystery hunt thread has been closed and reopened and the situation reassessed by the powers that be...

 

Fact is, its a testament to the dedication and interest in the hunt and we beez brekin da interwebz yanno!! Lmao...

 

Everyone just chill, if you enjoy the hunt and someone disagrees then just take it on the chin and move on... find someone else who does agree and wants to maybe take that research further with you... much more productive that way and fun for all parties... lets face it we have our sneaky snipers here on gtaf and our tanks who dont hold anything back, we also have our tacticians and magicians(code guys get this one lol) etc... im sure we must even have some fairies among us (gay tony style) aswell

 

My point is there is something for everyone... that IS why we love gta is it not? Just move on if you clash or take it to a deathmatch *no rhymes intended lol*

 

Anyway...

 

@Vec, i am vaguely familiar with the sound you are talking about and im pretty sure its in the sound files that relate to the davis area... sorry i couldnt even begin to tell you which files but everything you hear has a file and has a command telling it when to play and loop and things... unravelling that command code and stuff is, well, something we tried to do here until things died down and people left...

 

There are many places to find out which sound files are for davis and there are many tools to extract the sounds into a format you can listen to... as for the coding though and script... i would say ask toothpik since he seems to be the last magician standing

...regarding the elevators... i was under the impression elevators in gta5 do actually move as opposed to just warping you to places... but im so rusty i cant even remember well enough give you a definite answer lol sorry bro... the biggest point though is that the elevator needs somewhere to take you whether it moves or warps... i would have thought after this amount of time and the amazing access we have created to the files then someone would have found the elevator/hatch/tunnels destination...

 

I would one day like to get back to the hunt if rockstar never end up saying anything about the mural and such...

 

I have already PMed many people my theory on it all anyway... and sadly even to this day i am yet to hear or read about a better, more logical answer lol

 

I may find the old PMs to everyone and copy and paste my big theory here...

There was some talk of digging into the NG files a few days ago. I think it was in the "Hunting for secrets on PS4/XBone" thread. It was just 2 or 3 people who chimed in about it though, not sure if anything has come of it yet.

Anyone know how to make XDR2OBJ work? Whenever I try to convert Pedestrian Model (.xdd), it just crashes the CMD and says "Invalid Resource" or "Mismatch".

So much for any digging on my part... I don't have a BD-ROM Drive. Hell, I just got my first DVD-ROM off of Freecycle, LMFAO! It'll probably be a few years before I get a PC that has BD-ROM, by then it'll be obsolete.

 

So unless someone can host the files and hook me up with a link, I'm not going to be able to help.

How possible is it that there is actually nothing revealing in the files and whatever treasure (if any) there is to be 'unlocked' just gets downloaded from the PS Store/Xbox equivalent once you trigger it somehow in-game?
