The last special crate drop I picked up had 4000rp and a minigun. I already have all the guns unlocked and at my rank 4000 didn't do much. So it wasn't that special...

That's because it's a special crate, not the regular one.

 

They vary, but the best I had from one was $10K, 10K RP and a fully loaded minigun.
