Health, Melee Weapon, and other item locations

After having the game for nearly two months I am only at 10% Completion. The main reason for the slow start is because I explore the entire map fully looking for various items and objects then writing text based instructions to find them for my upcoming guide. To this end I use the Brady Games guide to quickly find them to speed things up. For GTA IV they did a perfect job - they missed nothing and everything was in the right place.

For GTA V.....not so much.

Although they list firearms and Body Armor on their weapons map they do not list melee weapons or Health. And, although they list Grenades, they did not list Molotovs or Sticky Bombs. They also forgot Jerry Cans. To top this off they also forgot one firearm and five Body Armors. A pretty sloppy effort.

I went and explored every building and rooftop and just about every little area I could find which, considering the size of the map, was quite an undertaking and took most of my time. Most of the fan based maps I have found on the web are either based mostly on the inaccurate Brady Games map or woefully incomplete.

This topic is designed to list all I have found that is not on the Brady Games map. I should point out that despite my efforts at this point I probably missed some things so this may be incomplete. I only list basic locations and will give more detailed information upon request.

Health - These kits can be found at all Hospitals and may have more than one. They can also be found at all Safehouses:

Fort Zancudo - At the very top of the tall control tower where the Minigun is located.

Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness - Inside the guard tower at the main gates within the Cult Compound.

Paleto Forest - Behind the Paleto Bay Police Station.

Paleto Bay - Underneath the monkey bars along a dirt path at the beach park at the north half of the town.

Paleto Bay - At the Paleto Bay Hospital.

Mount Chiliad - (x2) At the northwest and southeast corners of the Lumber Yard Sawmill.

Stab City - (x2) Inside a ruined toilet just southeast of the Sawed-Off Shotgun and a ruined house at the southwest corner of the park.

Grand Senora Desert - Inside the large hangar at Sandy Shores Airfield.

Harmony - In front of Room 1 at the Eastern Hotel.

Sandy Shores - In front of Sandy Shores Medical Center.

Grapeseed - In front of the Alamo Fruit Market.

Grapeseed - In a small alley southwest of the LTD Gas Station.

Grapeseed - By a large red barn.

Grapeseed - Inside the stables not far from the big red barn where the previous Health can be located.

San Chianski Mountain Range - By a boarded up house near the Pacific Ocean.

Chumash - On the ground behind the O'deas Store at the Chumash Plaza (near the Ammu-Nation).

Great Chaparral - On the ground behind a farmhouse.

Land Act Dam - Inside the middle of the dam.

Pacific Bluffs - On a pillar at the upper level of the Kortz Center.

Pacific Bluffs - At the tennis courts for the Pacific Bluffs Country Club.

Pacific Bluffs - At a lifeguard station.

Richman Glen - In a corner of one of the buildings for Parsons Rehabilitation Center.

Vinewood Hills - By a lounge area behind the main building at Galileo Observatory.

Rancho - (x3) At the main entrance, southeast entrance, and the emergency room entrance at Central Los Santos Medical Center.

San Andreas - Near the top of a ladder. **NOTE: San Andreas is nestled between Cypress Flats and El Burro Heights.

El Burro Heights - (x2) At the main entrance and back garage area of St. Fiacre Hospital.

El Burro Heights - On the ground in a corner of the garage for the El Burro Heights Fire Station.

El Burro Heights - In the middle of a construction site.

Vinewood Hills - At the upper level of a construction site near the intersection of N. Rockford Drive and Ace Jones Dr.

Vinewood Hills - Near some small transformers at the Galileo Observatory.

Vinewood Hills - Under a roadside shelter near the intersection of Baytree Canyon Ave. and Marlowe Drive.

Melee Weapons - There are two weapons that can be found, the Crowbar and the Baseball Bat:

Crowbar, Zancudo River - Behind a tractor parts building near where the river meets the Alamo Sea.

Baseball Bat, North Chumash - At the outdoor porta-potties for Hookie's Seafood Diner.

Baseball Bat, Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness - On the large rock at the west end of the Cult Compound.

Crowbar, Mount Chiliad - In a nook at the Bellfarm building.

Baseball Bat, Grapeseed - Inside the office of the LTD Gas Station.

Baseball Bat, Grapeseed - Inside a ruined barn east of the LTD Gas Station.

Crowbar, San Chianski Mountain Range - In front of the You Tool Store.

Crowbar, Vinewood Hills - Next to a concession stand at the Vinewood Bowl.

Molotovs, Grand Senora Desert - On the ground inside some stables for the Stoner Cement Works plant.

Sticky Bomb, Vespucci Canals - On the upper floor of a construction site.

Molotovs, Little Seoul - On the top level of a large construction site.

Jerry Can - This weapon can only be found at Gas Stations but not all Stations will have it:

Lago Zancudo - At the Ron Gas Station.

Paleto Bay - At the gas pumps for the Ron Gas Station which is next to Beeker's Garage.

Mount Chiliad - At the gas pumps for the Globe Oil Gas Station which is next to, and west, of the 24-7.

Grand Senora Desert - At an old gas station not far from Route 68 and Josha Rd.

El Burro Heights - Near the tanker at the Ron Gas Station located at the northwest corner of El Rancho Blvd. and Capital Blvd.

Firearms - And then there is the one weapon missing from the map:

Grenade Launcher, Pacific Ocean - Along the coastline northeast of the Palmer-Taylor Power Station is an L-shaped lagoon. The north part of this lagoon is a large cave. The weapon can be found underwater by a rock just north of the boat that is normally found here.
