Car Tires Effects (QUESTION/HELP?)

Okay I have read up on car tires in gta 5, I have seen videos of people testing off road tires vs sport ect. Off road seems to help off road a little bit...

However I cant get a clear view on these....Which tires are better and what does each kind do?

All I read about them is unofficial and could be rumors, but I would like to know if what I hear is true.

I hear off road tires give a tiny bit of better climbing power on offroad.

I hear high end and lowrider tires are all for show and do nothing

I hear muscle car tires have better traction.

As for the other categories I havnt heard a thing about them.

Can someone help me clear this up and just post below the effects of each tire type if they have any?

It doesn't really matter ... just make sure they're bulletproof

It matters for me, I hear some tires have better traction for tighter turns and can climb offroad better......i just want to make sure what I have been reading is true or not and if so what effects each has.

What were the results of you trying it for yourself?

I'm afraid I am unable to, I have tired mind you but my memory is far too bad to see if they have the same handing for offroad, tight turns ect. I just cant tell the difference, however I know someone with better memory would be able to

I had a theory that tuner tires stick to the road better but im pretty sure there is zero effect from tire type

I kno a guy had tested speed n accel w different tires and there is NO difference.

Well I saw a video to test tires up a hill, using the same car but off road tires vs sport tires...offroad had a tiny increase in speed. I think you are wrong on this...

Also I am not looking for speed but traction for tighter/fast turns, and going uphills and such.

I think the way to test (and I'll likely do this once my end-term crunch is done at uni) is to run the same dirt road like ten or twenty times in one car with offroad tires. Then switch em up. It should only take a few runs on the same road to identify differences in acceleration, top speed and traction.

But wouldnt this test need to be on roads as well?

Car tires do nothing. Anyone who says otherwise is just lying, or under the placebo effect. Put High End tires on your Rebel, it'll still climb mountains.

Custom tires don't do anything special either.

Reminds me of tires in SA:

Then explain this video I found...

It shows off road tires help a little bit....

This is exactly how you test when you WANT to find a difference:

- make sure the tester knows which is being testing prior to each measurement

- test all of 1 type then all of the other type

- where there is likely improvement over time, test the 'inferior' one first then the 'better' one

Also a great way to PROVE quack medical products, the latest piece of sporting equipment or that incredible new cleaning product.

A proper test would be:

- someone else picks the tires each time and tester can not see while testing (eg cabin view)

- randomly pick which tire is used for each run

5% difference on that methodology is not relevant ... 20% difference would have been interesting.

It isn't your memory. There is no difference that is why you can't tell.

for the love that all that is holy, stop saying that Chiliad defines off-roading.

I can get to the top of Chiliad with a Faggio or a Delentante. It isn't hard at all. You want to honor the grip of a vehicle? Go to the rocks on the southeast beaches and climb cliffs.

Than explain the video I posted showing a difference between tires?

the video only shows stock tyres and off road tyres

it can imply off road tyres are better for off road

it can also imply stock tyres are sh*t

but doesnt prove anything about off road tyres are better for off road as compared to other types other than stock

would be more interesting if other types of tyres are being compared

then perhaps we all have an answer

The stock tires are SPORTS tires. So it was sports vs off road.
