Plenty online but nobody in races/deathmatches etc? Anybody else have

I've been having this problem for a week or two now at least. When I join an online game the place is full of people but when I join a race or deathmatch or whatever it's always empty or near to empty? Why is this such a problem on Gta V. On Gta 4 I was always in races and stuff with usually at least 5 people. Here I seem to struggle to get 3 at it's best.

Is it because I'm not part of a crew? Does that change game/player selection.

Maybe I should mention I'm a good sport, I've only ever got the bad sport thing once and it was for blowing up a car that I didn't know belonged to another player. I've heard if you're a bad sport you get empty lobbies?

I bet the numbers will improve after xmas day with a lot of people getting the game for it.

Might sound stupid, but check your aiming settings. If you're not on Traditional GTA then you'll be entered into lobbies of your current aim type, which are generally less populated.

Yeah I'm on free aim and did think that might have something to do with it. But at the same time the free roam portion usually has a good few people. Just not any of the events so to speak

Ya you need to switch to assisted aim if you want to play races or deathmatches with full lobies. Thats what I do. Assisted aim when i want to race. Free aim for just freeroam and deamtaches with crew.

I usually don't have problems finding races in Free Aim. Well, sometimes I do. But mostly its around 4-5 players mx per races.

 

 

Im wondering, does assisted aim OR GTA tradional aim have more players playing.

 

f*ckin R* and their stupid aim modes. It one thing to have garbage auto aim online, but does it really have to split players up on all game modes? Dafuq...

I'll give the aiming thing a go.

 

Yeah the mechanics of this game are just beautiful as regards the world and driving around it, it's very pleasurable.

But there's definitely elements of the online portion that are lumpy at best. They were very ambitious though, it's sort of understandable.

I have no issues getting in races with folks. Helps to hook with with a good crew.
