Yesterday I tried this, getting into a battle zone, going into passive, and trying to get some action photos. I encourage you to try, really fun stuff. Some of my work, NONE of this is scripted action:

 

Under fire in the open = dead. At least in decent games XD. You can see the bullets flying close.

This chick changed the paintball for real weapons, her clothes suggest that at least:

 

 

They always appear to spoil big fights:

 

 

Just made it to cover after getting shot and losing loads of blood:

That granade shot smoked the guy behind the wall:

 

 

As always, an idiot with a tank tried to spoil the fun. It ended up bad for him though... RPG!!!!

 

 

 

And as always, plenty of assholes tried to spoil my fun too, despite me not bothering anyone. They even put bounties on me, luckily I was already on passive and I could continue. Here they are:

People should learn that stickies, grenades and rockets (can jerry can harm you while you're in pm?) can't harm you while you're in passive mode. Even rank 100+ players come to me and try it, happens almost every day.

2 times. One of them a tank took me down of where I was the cannon. Yes, always stay on high places.

kind of weird though how the mechancis of GTA make it so a "war reporter" has to rely on small ledges for safety as opposed to say some decent cover

For those willing to give it a go, please post here your efforts.

 

And I give you an advice: don´t bother unless there´s a sh*tload of action in a small area. You´ll need to be on foot to stay alive yourself, so using a car is no good idea. I was lucky to get a hell of a mayhem with 8 players, nearly all the time on foot, fighting in two blocks. Look for those opportunities too.

tried this yesterday and the strangest thing happened

nothing

no1 was fighting anywhere

joined 3 different games and drove around for a bit but no1 was really fighting

hardly any1 got killed at all
