Winning more money than others on missions

I'm curious why sometimes I earn more money than other people on missions. For example, in Methods of Madness I earned 23,000 dollars while the others only earned 11,500 dollars. I didn't kill the most people, in fact I actually died when nobody else did. Nobody in my crew was with me either, or friends for that matter. Is this a glitch or am I missing something? Sorry if it's a silly question.

I've been told its affected by rank or whether you've done the mission before, but I've been in situations where neither of these factors affected the payout, so I'm totally confused by the inconsistency.

Thanks for the quick response. Rank makes sense, but the other guy was at rank 71, and me at 73. I feel like it's not that big of a difference to justify double the payment. And I never played the mission before.

Rank has nothing to do with it all. It all depends on whether you've completed the mission before. It only pays out full the first time you pass then after that it's half. Sometimes I know I've done a mission before and I still get paid full but it's just glitchy I guess. I'm rank 100 and I got paid more for a mission than a rank 40 yesterday. That one, I know I never completed, I think it was High Priority Case.

If you repeat a mission you only get half. First time through you get the full payout. But the other poster is right, there isn't any consistency with it.

Yeah...my posse and I have played the same mission multiple times in a session and sometimes one person or the other will get double what the others do. Despite us all having done it before.

So you mean you SHOULD get half - because I have done so many missions multiple times and got full pay.

 

I'm starting to get half as much now, I've been on since day one.

you also get half if you play a mission that's above your rank

so the requirement for that mission was probably higher than 40

you get the full amount for playing it for the first time he gets half because he hasn't met the level requirement

This game is so unnecessarily complicated. Can someone tell R* that most of us can't get into a f*cking mission with more than one other player half the time?

• You have participated in the mission before

I can't confirm the second one, I know you'll get halved if you've completed it, but for some missions where I have joined, left after I had joined and then completed another time I got half payout.

Is there a way to get a list of missions that you have participated in before? Sounds like R* are monitoring that info but I don't know of a way of seeing it.

 

I'd kinda like to see what missions I have and haven't done and then complete the set. Who knows how many I've missed out!

I could be wrong but, I was sure that you also get the full pay the first time you 'host' the mission, even if you have done it before with a friend.

It boggles my mind that RANK an wether or not you played a mission before decides the payout.

Simple: if you complete a mission again, you get half the payout. Rank, friends, crew members don't affect the payout.

Rank does effect it. IF you are not high enough level for the current mission you get waaay less.
