money glitch not working anymore

I love how those playing a game that are stealing cars. Murdering people. Robbing banks and stores. Have the nerve to act like the money glitch is so wrong. LoL oh the irony.

the same people play the game then turn it off and go benefit from real life instead of climbing the ranks of a game by cheating.

People that don't glitch think it would be very stupid to waste time accumulating a massive amount of fake and useless GTA money.

glitching is like putting a dollar in a vending machine and getting 2 out are u gonna leave it or take advantage of its mistake its not my fault i found it simply said rockstar should fix their system before they start banning

No, glitching is like smashing the vending machine and stealing the contents, but it's the makers fault for making the front out of glass, am I right?

That would be vandalism of property, and therefore a totally invalid example. Try AgainYou need to go back to school and learn how metaphors work, you say that as if glitching isn't against the rules, both things are equally wrong in their respective contexts and the metaphor is quite apt. The fact is that any glitch like the LSC glitch is every bit enough against the rules that you could be banned by R* and there's nothing you could do about it.

They aren't banning people for that particular glitch, but it's explicitly against their rules and the only thing stopping them is them being nice and putting a dunce hat on your head instead but still let you keep playing. Vandalize enough property and you'll definitely get yourself sent to jail, but the first offense is usually a slap on the wrist.

All things considered it's not a perfect metaphor, but it definitely works well enough to be above any such criticism from you. If you don't like people likening glitchers to criminals, maybe you should stop glitching and making the comparison deserved. In the society of gamers, glitchers and cheaters are the criminals. Some offenders and offenses are worse than others, but anything besides playing the game by the rules is illegal.

And I refer only to cheating in a multiplayer scenario where other players are impacted in any negative way whatsoever. There's a reason things like steroids are banned in sports, even games need rules and breaking them is often referred to as an illegal play.

Well, if you'd like my honest opinion, I feel like anyone who gets worked up over the issue period has very little going for them in their personal lives. I honestly couldn't care any less what anyone does in a video game, just as I don't care when someone needs to feel self-righteous by judging how other people play a a game. Find me an industry that's not filled with pre pubescent teens and see if a product launch is tolerated in this manner.

Well if you'd like my honest opinion, anyone thinking I'm getting worked up just because I'm killing a little time discussing things on a message board really needs to get over themselves. I try to stay away from these money glitch threads because I've already made my position known but your post was a particular level of stupidity and no one else had called you on it. I can't correct everyone who says something stupid on the internet, but I try to squeeze in at least one or two a day.

If people don't at least try to do their part to correct the stupidity they see in the works around us, we really are completely f*cked.

So I am stupid due to the fact that I pointed out a weak use of a metaphor that you even agreed was weak? I got my entertainment for the day. Many thanks. Or is it because I give 0 sh*ts what other people do? Those are the only 2 positions I shared with you.

I said it wasn't perfect, big difference between that and weak, I said I believed it was quite apt which in case you didn't know (which it seams you didn't) means appropriate. Professional sports even refer to breaking the rules as an illegal play, so saying it's like committing a crime is a very appropriate metaphor. I also despise self-righteous glitchers so I admit I took pleasure pointing out your error, as I continue to do. I'm glad you find your ignorance amusing as well, at least some good is coming of it.

I also tend to pull out the word stupid rather readily, but for the most part I mean you're acting stupid/thinking stupidly right now about this issue, I wouldn't go so far as to assess your intelligence on so little.

And I just looked back I never called you stupid, I said your post was stupid, so you misquote me when you suggest I think you lack intelligence. Smart people do dumb things all the time, I can quite assure you.

Sigh, you can fire away all you want, split hairs, perform grammar gymnastics, or whatever you have to do in order to "win" the thread. Like I said before, I don't care what people do, or say for that matter. I see the extremist Liberal tactic of attack, attack, attack any differing opinion is flourishing.

Lol, win the thread? Grammar gymnastics? Up until now I've kept up with what you're saying, but now you've lost me. I didn't actually expect to talk sense into you, but this issue touches on an interesting moral dilemma where some people say "it's just a game I can do what I want" and everyone else believes games have rules that should be followed. All arguments for and against aside, I just can't help but keep poking this bear in part to see whether I can convince a glitcher to reform and also just for the hell of it to see what happens. It's a touchy issue for a lot of people, and if nothing else prodding it with a stick tends to be entertaining.

I also just like engaging people with differing opinions, I always hope they'll have something to say I hadn't considered before and help me understand something better, even if only the thought process behind why people do things I am firmly against. I like understanding people and why they do things, and the anonymity of message boards means people tend to not pull their punches and have very colorful discussions.

I call you and everyone who glitches wrong because I've yet to be proven otherwise, the fact is you're breaking the rules and even games need rules (with punishments for breaking them). Disregarding those rules saying "it's just a game I can play how I want" is no different than Lance Armstrong doping for all those years, he thought there was nothing wrong with doping but now he's a global laughingstock. This issue in particular seems immutable to me, glitchers are breaking the rules and that's all there is to it, you're wrong.

If this were real life we were discussing then that would be different, laws are often made in society which are unjust and it is the responsibility of any citizen not to obey any such law. Games are different, whether you like the rules are not they're there for a reason and you have to follow them if you want to play. You glitchers can squirm all you like, it doesn't change anything.

And just to recap I'm only talking about glitches that offer unfair advantages to players who use them, if there were a glitch that let you run around in the game naked or something I wouldn't care about using them because it would be silly and in no way advantageous to the person doing it. But there's a line where glitching starts to do things that gives you some kind of advantage, and any glitch over that line is strictly immoral to utilize, just as it's immoral to dope in sports (which as glitchers keep using as a defense are ONLY A GAME). If cycling is only a game, why is Lance Armstrong banned for life? Oh yeah, he cheated.

My point is this entire thing is purely based off personal opinion. I can't find a way to fault either side of the argument, there are very valid points on both sides. I just don't hold my own opinion higher than other people's and speak down at them to justify myself. I do, however believe that a company making the amount of money that R* made off this title knows that they are accountable for releasing a very badly executed product. Those who wasted hours upon hours to just have their time "erased" have every right to pursue compensation. Living in a system where taking on a corporation requires very deep pockets, I would say performing a simple glitch is more than justified and eliminates attempting to take on a system where the deck is now stacked against the consumer. From the players' standpoint, yes it is very frustrating and most of that frustration comes from knowing they can literally do nothing about it.

All in all, this was a botched game release, and it has likely ruined a game that was seriously over hyped, and underdeveloped. I hope you can see both sides as I tried to avoid any bias toward the route I took. I'm not by any means saying that two wrongs make a right, but I can't fault either side for their decision. With an issue like this it's more like an onion with many layers, due to the numerous problems with this game. I just dislike attacks on people's opinions, especially when there is no clear right and wrong. The one big wrong in all of this, is that a trusted company, that made a ridiculous amount of money off of this game, failed their customers, plain and simple. The frustrations only continue to build because it's becoming more and more obvious that they aren't even aware of how to properly deal with the issues because there are so many.

We definitely agree that this game was handled badly, a botched release is putting it nicely. You're right that it gets gray when you talk about people losing money and even entire characters from glitches, I maintain as you also said that two wrongs don't make a right but it's certainly understandable in that situation.

I lost something like 1.5 million (in progress and lost property, mostly from multiple garage losses) myself so I know from experience it sucks, but R* did just hand out two waves of compensation (I received 600k the first time, the extra 100k was for the cash card a I bought when the game came out, then another 500k was deposited by R* a few days ago out of the blue).

I'm still down some but R* does seem to be making some kind of effort, enough that I'm content to abide by their rules as continue playing. If this company in real life was killing puppies or something then I'd certainly feel less inclined to follow its rules, but nothing they've done strikes me as being bad enough to justify such a drastic response.

I must admit that despite knowing better I do sometimes talk down to people when I feel like I have a firm position on the high ground, but that doesn't mean I'm ever above being proven wrong if someone has some compelling argument or evidence to the contrary of my position. Suffice it to say this issue is one I feel firm about, but you definitely make some logical counterpoints, not everyone feels compelled to resort to logic in these discussions so that's nice in and of itself.

Yeah I'm sort of new around the forums, after reviewing most of the threads on here I can't fault you at all for the initial response lol.

Lucius, you aren't the worlds polite society police so where do get your self righteousness?

Its not only a game but also not up to you to decide for rest of us which is moral and acceptable behaviour so look in a mirror and squash your noise.
