Why does it keep telling me my car is destroyed?

Every time I log in to GTA online I get the message saying my personal vehicle has been destroyed. Even though when I go to my garage all 3 of my cars are there?!?!

It might be a glitch, have you tried dialing Moors to see what they say because you're not stating that you have ?

A few times in the early days I would have a replica spawn after I had already sold a vehicle...are all the cars in your garage insured as the replica's would always be uninsured?

i get this a lot too if I quit online without putting car in garage or sometimes coming back from missions ... it's like someone destroys the car after i log-out and it is replaced and garaged for me when i log back in

Hmm, that could be it. Back when I first started online I had a car and didn't bother retrieving it, although that was before these messages started coming up. Also when I look on the social club website under my online characters vehicles it shows that it's still in my garage!

The police will impound anything that is a PV. Even a dump truck.

Pretty sure this is the unintended result of them trying to remove vehicles from the game when they're no longer supposed to be there (i.e. after they're sold). Problem is, the game is seeing every vehicle as no longer belonging in-game any time one spawns. Just be thankful that we're only getting the message, and that our cars aren't actually being destroyed.

This is a bug that is a result of Update 1.06 where they removed vehicles from people's garages. Just ignore it.

I have it too, except it was my bicycle that I never bothered to retrieve back. ( Lost $20k on it, since it was the second time I didn't bother )

It's kind of annoying because I know it was, and I know I have to protect it, but if I want to get rid of it, and I can't sell it to LSC, why should I still be bothered with it?

Call up Mors Mutual and see if you can recover it, should stop the message coming up and you can always sell it if you don't want it.

It's possible you had a police vehicle in your garage that was taken with the last patch. Regardless, if that's the case or not, fill up the rest of your garage with junk cars and then destroy them to "reset" your garage. Worked for me and I don't get that message anymore.

 

Destroying normal cars in the remaining 7 spots will get rid of the one or two "trouble" spots that are glitched/bugged.

I'm getting this too, really annoying. I destroyed a Futo that I put in my garage but I forgot to insure. Now it won't seem to let me forget about it. Every time I start a new mission or come back into free roam, it tells me. On top of that, I have been getting constant texts from Marnie or whatever that Epsilon woman's name is from SP. Somehow she's texting my online character lol. I have a feeling we're stuck with these things forever.
