Still Can't Get Past Tutorial (1.06 Patch)

Been trying to get in gtao for a couple of days on my ps3, everything seems to work ok on my 360 account but every time I try to start 'mall or nothing' on my ps3 I get the alert I can't join the session & it takes me to the parking lot then another error message then back to story.

 

Was wondering if anyone has been having the same issue and worked anything out?

 

I've tried deleting characters and game files, reinstalling the game and patch a number of times but with no luck and would love if someone could point me in the right direction.

Christ...that's gotta be annoying. The only thing I would suggest is, most of us had success at the time by joining a solo session initially but I would imagine you've tried that too ?

It's definitely testing my patience haha. Thanks for the reply. I tried solo straight away though, thought I would get away with it easy.

There are four missions you have to do before finishing the GTA:O tutorial:

1) Compete in a street race.
2) Break up a drug deal and steal the product (gain Gerald as a contact).
3) Rob a convenience store.
4) Compete in a Last Team Standing deathmatch.

why would that suck?

 

 

so even when you reinstall everything and make a complete new char it wont work... i heard about broken discs that just wont install properly and cause only this problem (sounds strange i know). a new game disc solved it. but i dont believe that one. did i just quote a 29 year old GTA playing girl? where do i find those in RL ? why is every female in onlinegames so attracting? they are ugly most of the time.... fat and unsexual... thats what i tell myself so i can keep on playin not gettin too much distracted... so where were we? aaaah, check out your char on a friends ps3 system, see if it works there? is that an option? so u know its your internet or console or game and not your char or socialclubaccount or whatever. hell its just a name in a forum with a mp3 avatarpic... how can that make me even think of something cute behind it.... *facepalmingmyselfoverandover*

Just at a friends place trying my ps3 account to see if it has something to do with the Internet or whatever at my place. It worked first try, so I'm hoping I'll be able to connect once I get home.

 

Still have no idea what was causing the problem as other online games have always worked fine
