Unfortunately, Niko Bellic is now retired. I don't know if he helps Roman run the cab business or finally convinced Kate to 'give herself up' but either way, Niko is now quiet, rich and most likely still depressed. Maybe he'll be like Micheal and come out of his hole eventually, but the way I see it, Niko is retired in his prime. Let all the Trevors of the GTA underworld have some of the big scores too. Niko had his story, and by the end, he finished it all, it would be odd if for some reason he moved to Los Santos and got involved with others when he just wanted to stay low. He wanted to stay in Liberty City and stay out of trouble. Besides, Michael Hollick would never return to do Niko, Rockstar really threw him aside after he finished his voice work, which was unfair, so I'm sure he wouldn't trust Rockstar again. Ixnay Posted November 28, 2013 Share Posted November 28, 2013 I like Niko. Hell, I liked Vlad. I never did want to kill him, despite him being a douche. I don't think Niko himself would have worked, but maybe characters with more depth. Michael is "depressed", sure (although it's really more like a general dissatisfaction with life, which isn't the same thing. Who doesn't have gripes and grumbles?). I haven't gotten to Trevor yet (yeah, I'm slow), but it seems this time around they didn't really get into the heads of the characters as much. Five minutes of Roman and you pretty much know what kind of person he is and how he lives his life. These new characters, they seem to be lacking a passion. Maybe that's because most of the missions seem to be geared toward the main plot. "Filling out" their lives doesn't seem as important this time. Niko being in LS would feel out of place considering how he moved on from all the bullsh*t he went through in LC. To be honest this is the first time I've ever seen someone say they wanted Niko to be the protagonist in GTA V. I've lost count of all the "Will CJ be in GTA V?" threads before GTA V was released and a few of us have disagreed with the idea anyway. Stop blindly generalising people. It's getting annoying. I am so happy Rockstar don't repeat them in every new GTA. M T F were in some way much more fun for the game albeit it was just missing that wow feeling and ended up less memorable. Michael had a detailed story as well ...
