They made the PS2 and Xbox version digitally. The consoles are only emulating the game through software, so it's not like a full-fledged port to either system. Im also wondering why its coming out this year when it isn't the 10th anniversary until next October. maybe we will get an hd remake on xbox one and ps4 next year? They just finished GTA V, and even if they wanted to, the could not release it, since the mobile phones (At least as far as I know) cannot handle the game. Also, there is NO GTA game, except San Andreas, which was released 10 years ago, but the mobile version is already coming, so that's that. So clearly you don't know what you're talking about. In hindsight, no it will not be done for portable devices, there's a PC version to think about first then the next gen versions. I'm kinda worried about Tegra optimization in games, not every game producer optimizes a game for Tegra which results in low graphics and lag even if it runs better on worse devices. Just know that technology advances, and back in 2004, we never thought we would see the day come where San Andreas would run on a mobile device. I don't think V on mobile will happen any time soon. Only mobile device I see having V on it is the PS Vita, but there is an issue with storage space. It would need like two or three cartridges, and due to the price of memory, you will need to fork out a lot of money to get a memory card that will hold V, along with your other games. They may be able to compress the game down more, as the Vita is on a smaller screen you might be able to get away with lowering the resolution on the textures. Next year, I think will be bringing ports of V to PC, and maybe even next gen. Rockstar may decide to release SA on Vita for the 10th Anniversary Edition. I do think the game (maybe even III and VC) will be discounted on iTunes, Google Play, Steam, Xbox Live, and PSN. But I hope that instead of Rockstar doing just SA on Vita, that they do the GTA Trilogy on Vita, and it has all three games in a bundle. The three games should all fit on a Vita cartage. They would look like the mobile version with the enhancements (or may even have the missing effects that the PS2, XBox, and PC versions have), but may have controls more like the console versions, but maybe with some touch screen controls too. Heck, III and VC may have the old 1st person style of aiming with heaver guns. But what I think that person was saying about V Mobile. He may directly mean V mobile, but he could also mean a new GTA game set in Los Santos and Blaine County. Something like what LCS was to III, and VCS was to VC. Or a even more striped down game thats top down, like what Advanced was to III, and CTW was to IV.
