What you missed from GTA IV in GTA V

Recommended Posts

RipGore

Single player

1) I miss people getting wounded and limping away with their arms wrapped around their stomach

2) I miss getting WASTED and seeing the aftermath of the death in slow motion. In GTA V, when you get wasted, the course of your character's death is very short. When I race through oncoming traffic on the freeway and jump out at 198 mph and clash headon into a sedan, I DON'T get to see any RAGDOLL animation. Everything slows down and fades. This is a very important feature that I truly miss. All the wasted sequences in the previous GTA's were good as well; however, GTA IV's seems to be the best at showcasing what really happened.

3) I miss dumbass cops

4) I miss more sensitive car damage.

5) I miss swingsets

6) I miss interior building violence

What do you guys miss from Liberty City

I miss being able to tap the Y button to exit a vehicle and keep the engine running. Why R* removed that I'll never know.

This is pretty much the thing I miss from IV. V is great with all it's new features and functions, but why take that function away? I consider it quite useful.

Plus, imagine those nice screenshots we could take if the cars could be left running, meaning the headlights would stay on. Wasted potential !

The two things I miss from GTA IV are:

1. The ability to push pedestrians.

2. The awesome ragdoll physics.

In addition to numberous features already mentioned:

- buy items from street vendors (come on, they're standing there. How hard could it been to reimplement this feature!?)

All of these above.

I know you aren't gonna miss this touch but the GPS voice "in 50 yards turn right (Ding Dong)" "Turn left then immediately left (Ding Dong)" "you have arrived"

Yeah, I've seen plenty of fruit stands around the place. Also would be great to see some random hot-dog stands :D

Something I noticed while playing before, I miss when you're in a car and someone tries to open your door and you time it right and drive off while their hand is stuck there and it was really fun to do watching them flop around.

From the 130 hours I've played, no. Not to me it isn't. I don't know whether it's the over use of bright colours that makes everything feel fake, the few peds who occupy the streets, but compared to LC it doesn't feel as "alive".

You can! Shoot a gun, get in a car, turn on the headlights and exit.

Positive reactions to the game from players.

Oh wait, no, we had nothing but negativity when IV was released as well, because it also wasn't San Andreas.

I miss.

The ragdoll effects

Pool

Little Jacob

The random police actually pulling over a guy and looking in his boot (sometimes the NPC would burn off when the police got out of the car which was funny)

Seeing street muggers and car jackers at work

The wounded person animations

Getting NPCs fighting each other

The drunk effects lasting longer and sometimes getting pulled for DWI

Been able to call for a taxi while pissed

Food Stalls (especially the funny things they would say)

Yeah it might have been designed to look more grim and depressing but seriously, it was definitely more alive and fun to play. It had a great immersion to it, you could actually get drawn in to the every day life of LC.

The possibility to leave a car or a bike without turning off the engine easily (not that get out shoot get in get out sh*t...)

The fat biker !
